Some recent sightings in the United States and Canada include:

Phoenix, Arizona, Feb. 26, 2009 - Amber-colored light

The witness was outside of his home when he noticed the appearance of an amber-colored light in the northwest sky above the distant mountains. In less than two minutes, the light moved rapidly across the horizon then finally disappeared in the northeast sky over the mountains. The witness observed the light through binoculars and described the object's appearance as similar to a hot air balloon. He reasoned that the object couldn't have been a hot air balloon due to the high rate of speed. His wife also witnessed the event, but couldn't get the binoculars focused on the object before it disappeared entirely.

Dublin, Texas, Feb. 24, 2009 - Line of lights appear to be a huge craft

The witness, and his daughter, were driving along US route 377 from Stephenville, enroute to Dublin, when they both noticed a line of lights, evenly spaced, and very bright, heading in a northerly direction. What struck them both was the size of the object. The witness explained that this was a very rural area, with very little aircraft travel. The object appeared to have been vastly larger than commercial aircraft, and traveled much slower. It appeared to be directly over Dublin when suddenly the lights went off for several seconds. The lights continued to pulse off and on for several seconds, and then the object appeared to make a slow, stationary turn towards the west.

Nova Scotia, Canada, Feb. 24, 2009 - Large triangular-shaped object

The witness was out for a walk around 9:00 p.m. She looked us as she was walking down a hill away from her home, when she noticed strange lights in the sky. The lights would change color in rotation, except for a single red light in the center of the object. She further described that this was a whole object, moving as a unit, and not making any sound. The object suddenly stopped, and then began moving again until it disappeared behind the trees.
