Shallow 6.1-magnitude quake hits Banda Sea - 3rd major quake in area in 2 days

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Banda Sea at 20:45:11 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.7 km, was initially determined to be at 6.16 degrees south latitude and 130.09 degrees east longitude.
