Oh, that doesn't sound heavy handed at all! What many fail to grasp: a great many physicians would happily walk away from their careers if they could find something else to do. Medicare is expected to cut physician reimbursements another 8% in 2022. That might be the last straw for the few remaining independent providers. That might not seem like much of a cut, but demands from from Medicare just to get that keep increasing (onerous, mandatory paperwork taking > 2x time spent with patients, and yeah, it has to be tracked too). My pay/procedure has already been cut by 75% since I started working in mid-80s.
