Massive fire engulfs 48-story apartment building in Sharjah, UAE

A huge blaze has turned a 48-storey apartment building in UAE into a giant column of fire, providing for some apocalyptic videos on social media.

The fire broke out at the Abbco Tower in Sharjah, UAE's third largest emirate bordering Dubai, late on Tuesday.

The building was evacuated, with the authorities not reporting any casualties so far.

However, witnesses say they've seen ambulances rushing from the site of the disaster.

The videos posted on social media show the whole building being engulfed in flames, with fiery debris falling down on the pavement from huge heights.

Many cars parked around the high-rise were damaged. The residents of at least five nearby apartment blocks were asked to urgently leave their homes as the firefighters tried to cope with the blaze.

Rowan Cocoan The only reason it didn't collapse is that it was NOT attacked with box cutters by Osama bin Laden.

The same one who was killed by 38 US Marines, 22 of whom later died in a helicopter crash, the worst single disaster for US forces in Afghanistan since 2001. One wonders why the US did not blame the crash on "The Ghost of Osama Bin Laden." Or "ISIS".

P.s., VERY shortly after that OBL 'raid', I saw a comment as a forum (kinda like 4chan etc., though I've never been to one of those). The guy's post had nada but verisimilitude. He directed it to SealTeam Six: And said:

"There are TOO MANY of you! That's too many to expect a lie to be kept! Even for we in spec ops!

"So, play pool with your mates, forgive those you need to forgive; seek forgiveness and apologize to those deserving.

"Make love to your wife. Play with your kids, because there's no way you're going to still be alive in a week."

I wish I'd saved a copy of it. About a week later, their helo got 'shot down' (impossibly) by an RPG, etc.
