Two elderly women were murdered in two separate instances in the town of Lichtenburg. One of the victims being a 73-year-old woman was stabbed to death and nearly decapitated in her bedroom.
The other woman was shot to death in her vehicle a few roads away from the first murder. Security personnel have labelled the situation 'code-red' and are expecting further attacks.
A 25-year-old farmer was also shot in the head in the town of Ficksburg. He was airlifted to a Hospital in Bethlehem and remains in a critical condition.
Attacks against the white minority are set to increase in the wake of the black Monday protests that took place this week, with the leader of the 3rd biggest political party in South Africa, Julius Malema of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), vowing to "put the colonial Afrikaner boys in their place".
It is believed that the EFF are going to ambush the scheduled Afrikaner protest in the capital of Pretoria, due to take place on the 25th of November.
Comment: The victims of imperialism are usually of the people whose land was stolen and now we are witnessing the backlash:
- South Africa: Drone photos capture massive division between rich and poor
- Poverty and misfortune come for all: The absurdity of saying 'white privilege'
- South Africa: Why hatred of whites is here to stay
- Mandela, Palestine and the fight against apartheid
- #EFFMarch: 'Israel is not the same as the Israel in the Bible', 'is using name to murder Palestinians'
- The problem of cannibals in South Africa
It is easier to stand by and let violence take place against a small and hated minority than it is to invest in the education and economic development of the country and the continent.
Unless Africans learn to take responsibility for their own actions and troubles, they will never develop themselves economically and socially, and they will never be truly independent.
