Nearly three years after suffering shrapnel wounds to the leg from the first of two bombs, McGrath, 23, was killed along with three others after their rented Ferrari 458 Spider slammed into a pole.
The car was said to be going close to 90 mph in a 25 mph zone when it crashed, breaking the car in two on impact.
Cody Nixon, a fighter from Toronto, had posted a photo of the car on Instagram a few hours before the tragedy.
"Just landed into Dubai picked up the Ferrari! Don't worry I won't speed," he posted.
McGrath was featured in one of the memorable images from the Boston Marathon Bombings in 2013, in which she is depicted being carried by a fireman.

Why am I reminded of Seal Team 6?
(Shortly after the long dead OBL's supposed 'capture' and killing in Pakistan? wherever... more likely Hollywood...I read an online post by someone who claimed to or implied he had some black-ops past,, and whose words certainly carried plenty enough verisimilude for me. He wrote to Seal Team Six and how there were 'just too many of them' who then knew the real truth (i.e., the faked killing/re-death* of OBL) and that he had a fair clue what would likely happen to them, though not many of their officers, or such.)
He went on to say, go home, make love to your wives, girlfriends, hug your children, tell your loved ones how much you love them, go play pool with your best friends, . . . because, my friends, you each and all (mostly, except maybe the kiss-asses/REMF's among you) are not long for this world.
Weeks later, Seal Team Six was supposedly blown out of the sky by an RPG that couldn't have hit it that high. Thus, ST6 followed their fictional captive, but in reality.
If any SOTTite could find that and post it, it would be cool.

Like him, I expect that she suffered what was called the 'Boston Brakes" job [Phrase from DeNiro film "Killer Elite" etc.] re killing folk by taking remote control of their car. etc. Appropriate, given Dave McGowan's (RIP) excellent photographic expose - he WAS a photographer - on the BS behind the Boston Bombing, which has now been removed from the web, etc.
I first learned of Dave from SOTT's link to his Laurel Canyon series, but with his damn well presented arguments (now lost to a large degree) about the BS behind the 'casualties' in the Boston Bombing, castigating the 'official story on 9/12/2001, and Sandy Hook, Line, and Sinker . . . which even Paul Craig Roberts just wrote about - Well, he seemed ahead of most of us.
Dave, you are missed. RIP
