"The fact is, they do an incredible job, we have to give them more authority and more respect. Without police, we wouldn't be sitting here, we wouldn't have the lives we have," Trump said in the video.
However, if there were so many "good cops" out there as Trump claims, then they would break ranks with the other police and actually do something about the "bad cops." Instead, these supposed good cops allow the corruption to continue, and they themselves continue to enforce laws that they know are unjust. The only good cops are the ones who become whistleblowers, break ranks with their gang, and refuse to enforce unjust laws.
Trump suggests that police need to be given more authority when in reality the problem is that they already have so much authority that they are effectively above the law.
Trump's constant praise of police during a time where they are extremely popular, has already won him some votes and support from law enforcement. While most of the other candidates are recognizing the problems that exist with police brutality, at least for the sake of pandering to voters, Trump has taken a hard line in support of police and has disregarded any of the legitimate complaints against him.
Several months ago one of the larger police unions in the country actually went so far as to endorse Donald Trump.
The New England Police Benevolent Association said in a statement that said in part, "Listen, our message very clear: It's what is the next president of the United States going to do to unite this country in an effort to save police officers? Because it's open season on police officers. At this point, those of us who are supportive of any party have to look at what is the best interest of our members."
Naturally, police are going to gravitate towards whoever fills them with the most praise and empty promises, this is unfortunately how politics works.
Comment: By pandering to and praising cops, not only is depraved Donald attracting votes, he is also playing on the fear of the average American to reassure them they are safe. And, they are not.

Interesting, it seems the Donald is getting hit from all sides and yet this open season on him seems to cement his support among those disaffected with the usual suspects. Jesse Ventura wants to wait to see who gets the nomination on both sides before deciding whether or not to run, others who have been asked to run, have already chosen not to run, and so what to do for those that have been taught and trained to vote? It seems the Donald is all that's left, and unlike in business, in which one can pick and choose their projects, public office is guaranteed to put one in a position of forced choices, ready or not, so what will the Donald do with so much of the establishment and even the fringe media is deadset against him?
Are we still waiting for Superman?
