Islamic State militants
Militants of the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group abducted at least 400 civilians after a raid on government-held areas in Deir Ezzur that saw the slaughtering of 300 people, mainly the family members and relatives of the Syrian army soldiers and popular forces, on Saturday.

At least 400 civilians were nabbed from Deir Ezzur after the ISIL Takfiri terrorists committed a massacre in al-Bagilya village in the western part of the province, killing around 300 civilians, most of them women, children and elderly people, on Saturday.

The ISIL slaughtered around 300 people in the Deir Ezzur province on Saturday, killing the entire families for alleged cooperation with the Syrian army troops. According to a source close to the Syrian government, some of the victims were beheaded.

The Lebanon-based Al-Mayadeen TV said that 280 people were killed, including children and women. The TV channel added that the dead bodies were dumped in the Euphrates River, while 400 survivors were taken hostage by the militants.

Syrian state media reported that all the people killed were civilians, but local monitoring groups said dozens of Syrian government troops were also killed.

The massacre appears to be one of the worst daily mass killings done by the terrorists groups in the five years of the Syrian conflict.

Update: Syrian Field Commander said that the reports on kidnappings of civilians from the village near the city of Deir al-Zor in eastern Syria are untrue.
