These events were all part of a frontal system moving through, hardly unprecedented. It seems there was a similar event with snow on the beach in 1987.
Observers indicated the snow might be very fine hail, possibly from a cold core thunderstorm. Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with "global warming".

Yes, this is not unprecedented. I remember when we got beach snow back in the eighties.
We actually used to get some pretty extreme weather. Which isn't unusual for coastal towns. What has been surprising to me in recent years is the lack of extreme weather in this area.
Waterspouts used to be a fairly regular occurrence, as well.
