The project is called 'Energy Addicts' and consists of three pieces of jewelry: The Blinker, The E-Pulse Conductor, and The Blood Bridge. On her website, she says "The work delves into a world in which there is a significant decline, which forces humanity to seek all the more forcefully for alternative ways of cultivating power. The suggested solution to the dilemma is based on the idea of biological wealth, harvesting energy directly from the body."

These look like an early, small version of the skrill, a Taelon weapon implanted on humans which harnessed its energy from its host's "emotions".

Anyone who would wear this masochistic "jewelry" seriously reminds me of cutters--people who inflect pain on their
bodies by cutting their flesh as a way of distracting themselves from their emotional suffering and trauma.

At first I thought it was a little creepy, but after thinking about it, what if one could draw energy from one`s own body and charge say a battery of some sort? A new (or old) source of powering (or empowering) at our fingertips. Just a thought.
