mexico fireball
© MilenioThe fireball seen over León, Mexico.
A fireball was seen over León at 7:02 p.m. A journalist working at Milenio took a picture.

The rock was seen traveling towards the West. It appeared suddenly and then faded away in the horizon, around the Jalisco border. It was described as a fireball with a yellow trail.

It corresponds to Asteroid 2014 DX110, traveling at 15 kilometers per second. It is a rock of a larger size than the meteorite that caused damages in Chelyabinsk, Russia, in February 2013.

The asteroid travelled between the Moon and the Earth, and it was seen in Leon for three minutes. The celestial body didn't present any risk to humanity.
