Mr. Maher is a rather classic 'intellectual' pretender of the left brain followers that supports 'their man' Obama in making excuses for our bad behavior, always attempting to portray ourselves as the 'knight on the white horse' riding in to save the day, using the typical twists and turns of phrase to get their point across with jabs too fast for the general public to follow, as they usually turn to those on the 'right' who utilize the emotional right brain approach to 'spreading the word' of 'How Great Thou Art'.
Two sides of the same coin, and Mr. M is a fine example of who such media types really do like the sound of their own voice above and beyond any other. The two sides main opposition is in this egotistic drive to stamp their beliefs on the other side, as only their opinion counts and any and all opposition must be destroyed as is their God Given right and destiny.
It seems these demagogues can't help it, perhaps they are all born that way? They think themselves demigods and thus surround themselves with the necessary stage for their show, which looks public, but seems more personal than anything else.
