'Crop cube' that looks like a 250ft 3D block appears in field of wheat

Farmers have been left bemused by a mysterious 250ft crop circle which has appeared in the middle of a wheat field apparently overnight.

James Hussey woke to find the giant design flattened into his field in Hackpen Hill, Wiltshire, and claims he has been at a loss to explain it ever since. The farmer even opted to drive his combine harvester around the huge crop circle in his field so as not to destroy the design.

The large cube design and its meaning has sparked a furious debate since it appeared, with some predictably claiming it could be the work of extra terrestrials.

Julian Gibsone, who runs the world's largest crop circle website, said: 'This was the last major crop circle of the season, which runs from around April to late August.

'But ever since it has generated huge debate among the community. Over one million people viewed the page on this particular crop circle.

'There has been some excellent circles this season but this one was particularly incredible.

'The level of detail and perfection of it is astonishing.

'Everyone has been bowled over with the work.'

The Hackpen Hill crop circle appeared in late August, but has only just been pictured from above - showing the full scale of the giant design.

Julian added: 'Crop circles are on the increase around the world. Wiltshire used to be the hub for this kind of activity, but now they are springing up all over.'

But seriously, folks:

Who are these so called “experts,” and WHAT are they “furiously debating?” The article quotes one expert, whose position, I’m sure includes these points:
1. How could man’s technology alone account for this? For all of these works of near-perfection? With super precise mathematical ratios and Cartesian/Analytic Geometry problems and solutions, etc., incorporated? (Even assuming that there’s a magnitude of order difference between public and “classified” tech.)

2. What artist would NOT sign his name to that? Would NOT come forward, to say, “Yep! I did it!” And yet the fooled, dumbed-down to imbecility, masses still think that because they heard some MSM disinformation about drunks with plywood, that they are “reasonably informed citizens” on this. WHAT A FARCE!

I’m certain that if you go to the one named expert's website, you’ll get a much more informative, open minded, neutral and transparent presentation of what’s there, etc. (Note how the article doesn’t mention all of the impossibilities involved in any “normal” explanation.)

The circle is phenomenal, but the article is basic propaganda disinformation , talking of “experts” “debating,” but only quoting one, who I’m certain has no one who would even stand up in public and properly debate him. They’d look like idiots, and/or liars, which is a fair description of what would be required in both such a nonexistent-hypothetical “debater” and his “debate” points.

It’s Beautiful! and for that reason - and others not expressable (e.g., intuition) - it simply gives me a positive lift.

.. what I told my buddy Patrick who's into occult symbols.

If you take the flower of life symbol ... [Link]... and sort of squint at it (I was looking at it with my glasses off) you can see that it traces the shape of a cube, or actually a cube of cubes. The perspective on that geometric rendering is the exact same perspective used in this crop circle.

The cube is a common crystal configuration for the carbon family of elements, which include silicon and germanium, which are semiconductors commonly used in electronic devices. An older method of portraying the bonds in a cubic crystal uses overlapping circles:

My friend Patrick didn't know what to make of all this, and I don't, either. What I do know is that biology and organic chemistry is based on carbon, and that electronics is based on silicon and germanium. And I am also quite certain that ET (or whatever makes such crop circles) has biology and electronics, just like we do, but has probably learned to combine the two more than we have.

The matter of crop circles is already complex enough, and so difficult to apprehend. We don't need to add any more "noise".

Ok, it's a 3D cube with 3 sides exposed in a circle(or sphere?) on the ground designed to perfection. Each side has 16 squares enclosed by the design on the edges.

So, what does it mean?

If readers are not aware of what the Cs said about crop circles, you should be.

I believe one important point is that most of the drawings are meant to depict things or concepts that are actually 3-dimentional, and probably in motion.

And the other point is that they did leave us with a very rough "dictionary" of what some of the shapes are supposed to symbolize.

How about Feb 16, 2015? Washington's birthday.
Or the 216th day of the year (Aug. 4th)?
Or 216 days remaining from day of circle (Aug 26, 2012) to day of event (Mar 4, 2013).
A lot of the crop circles from this year appear to be Solar System and Galaxy depictions.
This has to be the most astounding crop circle I have ever seen.

Very cool cube!

I get such a kick out of how so very many people always have to make
some extraterrestial or spiritual foolishness out of someone who
is good with MATHEMATICS and has an adequate computer to
figure the appropriat angles etc. Then a group of energetic college
kids get together and using the instructions from their computer,
are able to produce a wonderful work of art.

How long do you suppose it took these "energetic college kids" to complete this work of art? In the dark? It looks to be out in the middle of nowhere. Did they drive in? Walk in? Parachute in? And what kind of tools do you suppose they used? I'm not dismissing your claim, but logistically it's about as feasible as "extraterrestial or spiritual foolishness".

That design takes about 3 hours with 6 people. You could easily walk on planks along the tire tracks made by the combine. You get to a spot and one person is the 'center'. You simply take a laser measuring device used in construction to give you the distance from the center and make a circle. You do the same with the inner circle. Looks like someone may have goofed with the first inner circle attempt since it intersects. Next you pick a spot anywhere on the inner circle. Then you have two people walk an equal distance, dividing the circle into 3 pieces like a pie. Walk across to each point and you've formed the cube. Walk along each cube side an equal number of feet, stop and then walk in a straight line toward each other. That gives you the little squares making up the cube. Once you've got your squares, each person makes the same design in each square. Simple enough. It took about 3 hours to do this in a rice field in Arkansas. You don't see footprints either. The method and 'blueprint' for the design was developed in Adobe Illustrator in about an hour. We did it in the dark since you can see the red laser light much easier. Very simple and much quicker to do than you'd imagine. Notice that nearly ALL of the discovered designs are based on a circle. Those are very easy to do and make calculations on.

Not saying that some E.T.s didn't do this one, but 6 humans on a night out of fun did the same thing, in the dark, using nothing but some planks from Lowes Home Improvement, a laser guide and simply shouting, 'Stop! Walk center!'.

How do you post a photo on here? We went up in a crop duster to have a look. Looked like the one in the photo. I did it Illustrator so I could print out everyone a copy. But yes, it would be simple enough to do with just a compass, pencil, ruler and protractor. We called the local paper but they didn't seem all that interested. Have had a few people stop to look though. I'm not sure of the scale of ours as compared to the one in the photo but you do need to be up in the air to really get a good view of it.

What about the pattern in the voids around the "cube" shape? It's really easy to do that in the dark?

Actually, I don't see a "goof"; there is a fine circle that is off center, but it is symmetrical with the "cube" and matches up precisely with the inner and outer circles' edges. Looks intentional to me.
