It was a brisk weekend for UFO sightings being reported, especially from the southern states. Several reports were received from Tenessee, in addition to Georgia and Florida.

Lebanon, Tennessee - 4/18/2009

Two objects were observed changing directions and velocity in a rapid, jerky manner. One object went from west to east, and then swerved back and headed north. Using 8x50 power binoculars, the witness observed the second object as having a single point of light that was much brighter than the rest of the object. The witness described the sudden, jerky changes of direction to behaving similarly to a laser pointer.

Knoxville, Tennessee - 4/17/2009 - Multiple objects attract the attention of many witnesses

Looking north, the witness observed an object that first appeared to be a medical helicopter taking off from a nearby hospital. Realizing there is no hospital in that direction, the witness then watched as the object rose diagonally to the east, dropped, and came to a halt, before moving back west. As the object continued traveling west, the light grew in intensity. Several nearby witnesses observed the object as well, and also initially thought the object was a helicopter until it dropped down, flickered and then vanished. Additional people began to gather in the parking lot when the object appeared again, low in the sky. The object began to rise straight up, listing from side to side, before moving very suddenly towards the north. By now, approximately 10 witnesses gathered and were discussing what they had just observed when the object appeared for a third time. It was coming in low from the west, and gradually grew larger and brighter. The object was moving erratically, when a commercial jet approached and appeared to be traveling in the direction of the object. As the jet appeared to get closer, the object changed briefly from a steady glow to a strobe before dropping straight down then moved east, accelerated, and climbed out of sight.

Gulfport, Florida - 4/18/2009

Witness was leaving a friends house when he noticed what he thought was a low flying aircraft coming in almost directly over his vehicle. The witness was able to clearly see a triangular shape of lights, with distinct solid red lights and blinking white lights at the three corners. Following closely were three other sets of lights, but those didn't appear to be in a shape of a triangle. The objects were moving from the southwest to the northeast at a very slow speed, and below 5000 ft. altitude. The witness is very familiar with the types of military aircraft, and landing patterns, at nearby MacDill AFB. The objects made no sound, and the observation lasted approximately 30 seconds.
