Parishioners of a Catholic church in Poland are claiming that they are constantly seeing a ghost praying within the building.

The Church, located in the village of Szedzislawiu in Lower Silesia has now allegedly been spooked by the spirit for months. Apparently, three members of the church have seen the ghost, all on separate occasions. He has been seen at the front of the church, looking up to a sign that says in Polish 'Jesus, in you I trust', and has also been seen kneeling on a bench.

The figure shows itself in a blurred manner, is transparent and appears to be male. The priest of the congregation is planning to hold a special prayer service for the spirit in the hope that he can help it ascend to heaven. One of the witnesses, who recalled getting goose bumps on seeing the ghost, commented that it looked as if he was doing penance for past sins.

A theory is that the ghost is the spirit of a man who prior to passing away worked on renovations in the church and borrowed some money from parishioners but left and never payed back his loans. He now comes to ask for forgiveness and assistance in getting into heaven. Some congregants are suggesting that if the still incomplete renovations are finished the spirit will finally leave.
