From what I've seen, it appears tinnitus can stem from any of a huge number of causes. Treatments seem to be equally numerous. I've not personally heard of any great success with any one type of treatment.
In my case, the tinnitus comes with a Meniere's diagnosis. The ear ringing can be troublesome, but the dizzy spells can be debilitating.
Following up on suggestions from people at SOTT, I've looked into Dr. Sherry Rogers work, and based on her work, I'm trying a few thimgs that have been helpful.
I'm using an infrared LED light, pulsed at specific frequencies from Nogier's work, directly on the ear area. In addition, I'm boosting my body's ability to get rid of toxins with nutritional supplementation as described by Dr. Sherry Rogers.
It's early stages yet, but so far it seems to be helpful. After only about a week, it seems to have stabilized a bit, and perhaps to have improved as well.
hopefully this will provide some help to other meniere's patients that are looking for alternatives to the standard treatments.
