Mysterious lights in the skies above Swansea have left one family scratching their heads.

Yrma Bartolo's daughter, Rachel, was the first to spot the lights. Mrs Bartolo, of Middle Road, Gendros, said: "We thought she was going crazy, but when we had a look we could see the same light."

Every night, the family look to see if it has returned.

Rachel, aged 35, from Mount Pleasant, has seen the funny side of the mystery light after her work colleagues started singing the Star Wars theme tune to her.

Yrma, aged 60, said: "You've got to laugh about it. My daughter is getting some stick for it.

"We just want answers to what it is, it's fascinating."

The bright light has been described as a light which stays in the same spot for two hours, moves around and changes colour.

Mrs Bartolo, whose husband John initially thought the light was a helicopter, said: "I got my binoculars out to get a closer look. It's definitely not a helicopter.

"I know this sounds crazy, but its a pretty looking thing that seems to be dancing."

Family and friends from different parts of the city have also claimed to have seen the bright light.

Yrma and John, aged 60, have been searching the web for answers, and have come across similar sightings.

Yrma, said: "We still don't know what it is, but there were similar sightings near Port Talbot in November."
