This "support letter" has been posted on McCain Talk, "An Unofficial Forum for Supporters of John McCain for President". It is a great joke at the expense of McCain campaign... at least we hope it was meant that way.

Dear John,

We at Arizona State Retirement System are happy to support you in the pre-election campaign. We believe that you are the only one, the wisest man, who deserves to take the White House. The elderly people of the whole state, not just our community alone, will be voting only for you. We are certain that we will become the basic force for you that will help you in your struggle.

Our stance is not based simply on your extensive experience and wisdom. We perfectly realize that elderly people can get the support from elderly people only. The young do not know how unpleasant it can be when you have a sudden backache at the moment when you stand up in front of them to speak about the great history in which we were involved.

They do not know how painful and horrible it can be when blood pressure rises and you can feel your heartbeat in your head at the moment when you are making a responsible decision. They do not understand that we can give a good bashing to the youngest and the healthiest ones - we only need to take a nap during the day for it.

Young Democrats do not know all this and they do not wish to get to know it. How wrong they are when they think that their youth will last forever and that they can take the advantage of us in governing the superpower that we created for them.

They do not know what the red threat from the East means, although one has to struggle against it non-stop. Many of us, including you, learned this lesson during the war in Vietnam. Communists are still there, they guised themselves and were dispersed all over the world. We will not be able to do away with terrorism until we exterminate them all.

We are ready to forget about our ailing hearts, kidneys, bodies, arms and legs for the sake of the great objective of destroying terrorism on the whole planet. The elderly people are ready to stand tall and show to the whole world what America is and how strong and fearless we are.

We will never leave from Iraq. We are ready to show our valiant hardiment and fight in Iran against the Islamic threat. We will join you to protect the secular Muslim Georgia against the Red Communist barbarians. We need to clear the whole Latin America of totalitarian regimes before the Lord takes us. What if Russians passed nuclear secrets to them too?

John, feel our strength in your struggle and you will win. You will show the true America to the Afro-American brats. We celebrate International Day of Older Persons today. Our congratulations to you on this day, which can become the starting point for your victory. We, the elderly people, know what should be done with the nation. We will win, and let God give us sanity for this!
