Statue of Liberty ufo
A UFO video on YouTube, which at first looks like a blimp hovering near the Statue of Liberty, raises more questions than answers as the unidentified flying object seems to speed up, morph and even split. Other objects zoom past without explanation. What are these things?

The video, posted by the UK's Arran Shaw and his mum, is filmed on an iPhone and taken from a laptop screen downloading the SoL EarthCam feed, so the resolution is less than optimal.

The video segment is listed as having been recorded in July but only recently reviewed. The commentary is crucial as the two remark excitedly about the find.

Perhaps the still hot Olympics UFO, which has largely been authenticated as the Goodyear blimp, is causing many to review older video catches. In this one, it does seem unremarkable until two significant events occur.

First, the object seems to morph from a flattened, elongated shape into a rounded ball. The speed of the craft's maneuvers is beyond the capabilities of any blimp, and the segment does not appear to be sped up.

Second, two other unidentified flying objects zip past which don't look like traditional aircraft and are flying much too close. What are they?

Since the debate has been ignited by the Olympics mystery, expect more footage to be released by witnesses seeing this whole issue in a different light.
