I have definitely noticed a change. Before this year our back deck got very little sun. We would get about a 12 inch strip of sun across the deck around 10 am that lasted for about an hour getting narrower pretty quickly. This year we get sun to most of our deck starting around 11am and lasting about two hours. I thought it was pretty strange and now I see others are noticing similar sun changes.
would be able to observe changes easily. It would be varying and inaccurate.
This changing of sun angles aspect should be studied seriously. IF there is a current global warming trend, all factors need addressing, with carbon emissions last on the list.
There was a discussion about this over at the Intel Hub 3-4 weeks ago..... The general consensus at that time was around a thirty degree change in the sun's position. Using a Starrett Woodworker's angle gauge, I compared the angle cast by my home's shadow to my perception of where it had usually been at that time of year and day. My observation? a 27 degree change. Hardly a scientific experiment, but just another anecdotal point to bolster our perceptions.
Those interested may also wish to check out DutchSense on YouTube. Besides covering weather radar, he did some neat stuff with magnetic anomolies earlier in the year.
By the way, this is an intriging site. I plan to visit again.
Anyone else noticing these things? Stars not in normal positions, The sun rising or setting where it hasn't before, the moon rising and falling strangely etc?
