My wife and i were watching a movie that night it happened, sitting right next to each other facing the front windows of our house, this was about 2am or so, we live in Flemington NJ. A freind of ours was over and getting ready to head out, when i went to stand up and walk our guest out i glanced out the window, an all i saw was a crescent shaped object surrounded by green light or what looked like maybe green fire, it was flying parallel to the moon, which made it all the more confusing for a minute, cause i wasnt sure what i'd seen but i knew i definitly saw something weird, it looked just like moon, the under side of the moon light in crescent that night and so was the object i had seen, looking as tho it was on a crash course with the ground it only stayed visable for 3 seconds maybe, just long enough for me to see it blink turn my head back in the ol' wtf! motion and just saw it fade out of sight on a downward angle it looked like it could have just landed right outside of town or even closer. The only way i can describe it is what you see in sci-fi movies of shuttles re-entry through the atmosphere having the flames engulf the front of it and still being able to see most of the ship itself, i definitly saw something more, but the shaded blackened bottom and back half of the object was just too dark my eyes fixated mainly on the green light covering the front half which seemed very scaucer like the way the light or fire wrapped itself around it, AMAZING!!! thats all i can say!!! no onelse saw it, my wife as close to me as she was looking right at the tv which is about 6 inches from where i spotted the object flying by or crashing down, you would think she had no way of not seeing it, it was bright enough to light the tops of buildings and a portion of the surrounding sky for a few seconds. I had been the butt of a few jokes since but i know i saw something that night! and now i know im not the only one.
