Why is this happening in the United States of America????
What a shame, but is he for real? There has never been a time in American history when this wasn't happening ... mostly to black people and latinos. They've been shouting from every mountaintop about the brutality, the thuggery of the cops. What has white America done about it? NOTHING. NOTHING & NOTHING. They felt that as long as it was mainly the Negroes & latinos getting their heads busted, thrown in jail on bullsh__, brutalized, it wasn't their problem, and besides, the cops were doing a wonderful job of making sure white neighborhoods remained "pure." They went out in force and voted for such rotten scum like George Bush & Ronald Reagan - both of whom were going to keep the Negroes in their place. Well, surprise, surprise, surprise. The police batons and tasers are now being used en masse on the very people who tolerated a society of lawless cops. The cops have learned that, except in extremely rare instances, the goon squad of America can do what they damn well please to the underling citizen and never ever go to jail (or even be fired). That's the real state-of-rot upon which America was built.
So if Rev wants to know why this is happening in the United States of America, he need go no farther than to question his congregation.
