Police in Austria have arrested a man on suspicion of burning his in-laws to death with a home-made flame thrower.
A police spokesman says the 48-year-old suspect attacked the couple as they lay in bed.
His bedridden mother-in-law, who had lost both legs to diabetes, was incinerated where she lay.
Her husband, who tried to flee, was found dead on a bench in the garden.
Both were in their eighties.
The suspect is in hospital after a suicide attempt.
