One man was killed and more than 60 people injured after a bus crashed near Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire, England.
The incident happened at around 5:55 p.m. local time yesterday when a coach was involved in a collision with another vehicle before leaving the road, traveling down an embankment and rolling on to its side, West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust said in an e-mailed statement.
Two people were seriously injured, the ambulance service said in the statement. The fatality was confirmed at the scene of the crash, it said.
One of the seriously injured was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham and the other to University Hospital North Staffordshire.
Other injured people were treated at local hospitals or at a medical center set up at Alton Towers, the statement said.
