Big Brother

A Fridley, Minnesota man died Tuesday after state troopers used a taser to control him after a rush hour accident.

Minnesota State Patrol

Minnesota State Troopers responded to a crash around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 694 in New Brighton, where they found an uncooperative driver. Troopers used a taser to control the man, who was then taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead.

The cause of death has yet to be determined pending the results of the autopsy.

Five troopers have been placed on administrative leave by the Minnesota State Patrol, according to standard operating procedure.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident. The driver's name is being withheld until family is notified.

Comment: Incidents similar to this one are becoming more prevalent. Apparently police and troopers have been using tasers more readily lately. The disturbing trend is the justification for use of these weapons is discretionary and ambiguous.

One should fear the day one is deemed "uncooperative" by a taser-carrying law enforcement "public servant" in the United States.

Very Scary If You Really Think About It. By Lynne
Lynne

From dictionary.com:
uncooperative

adjective
1. unwilling to cooperate; "an uncooperative witness" [ant: cooperative]
2. intentionally unaccommodating; "the action was not offensive to him but proved somewhat disobliging" [syn: disobliging]

So you could be "assumed" to be uncooperative simply by disagreeing with someone. Or telling someone that you don't know something and "they" think that you do. They would see this as uncooperative behavior. The scenarios are unlimited.

Do you still think that being tasered could not happen to YOU?!?

Geeze, the guy had just been in an accident. Did they even CONSIDER that he may have had a head injury of some kind that left him dazed and confused, even beligerant "uncooperative"?

Do these people get any kind of TRAINING at all, any GUIDELINES or PROCEDURES
