The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera carried the following article on November 30, 2007. They report that President Emeritus of the Italian Republic Francesco Cossiga has stated that 9/11 was the work of US and Israeli intelligence. Not only that, everyone who is really democratic in Europe and America is also aware of it.

And that's not all. It seems that at least one of the supposed tapes of Osama that we hear so much about is actually a fake!

Mediaset video-montage sent to Al Jazira to boost-up the Berlusconi's Image

ROME - "According to what I was told, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow the most powerful daily newspaper chain of our country will deliver an exceptional scoop, saying that the video (actually an audio file), in which Osama Bin Laden, a leader of the 'Big and powerful Islamic Revenge movement Al Qaeda', reappears, Allah bless him!, and which also includeded threats to former Premier Silvio Berlusconi, was nothing but a video-montage achieved at Mediaset's studios in Milan and sent to the Islamic TV network of Al Jazeera, which then spread it." This is what President Emeritus of the [Italian] Republic Francesco Cossiga affirms in a public announcement.

TRAP

"The 'trap' was mounted, according to the above newspaper chain, to provoke a wave of solidarity with Berlusconi, in the moment in which you are also in trouble because of another scoop its sister newspaper on tangles between RAI and Mediaset", continued the Senator for life. "From neighboring environments in Palazzo Chigi, nerve center of Italian intelligence direction, it is pointed out that the non-authenticity of the video is evidenced by the fact that in it Osama Bin Laden 'confesses' that Al Qaeda was the author of the 11 September attack at the two towers in New York, while all democratic elements of America and Europe, with those of the Italian center-left party at the forefront, now well know that the disastrous attack was planned and carried out by the American CIA and the Mossad with the help of the Zionist world order to accuse the Arab countries and to induce the Western powers to intervene in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Because of that - concludes Cossiga - no word of solidarity came to Silvio Berlusconi, who is the creator of that clever forgery, neither from the Quirinale, nor from Palazzo Chigi or any center-left representatives."

SOLIDARITY

Actually solidarity came to Berlusconi from the the government by words of Vannino Chiti, Minister for Relations with Parliament: "I express my solidarity to Silvio Berlusconi who was called into question, together with other European leaders, by the terrorist Osama Bin Laden in his propaganda message. There must be a strong unity of political forces in Italy and a common pledge and solidarity among the peoples of Europe against terrorism and against these ravings".

I didn't think so.

How outrageous to suggest that the only two parties in the world to have benefited from the crime could have been its perpetrator!

The thing is, the intelligence agencies in Europe are aware that 9/11 was an inside job. We have been told by one individual who was in one of Europe's Ministries of Defence the afternoon of September 11, 2001 as the news arrived, that it was no secret. They knew from the beginning the Osama story was a lie. And some of them have been biding their time, waiting for the right moment, to speak the truth.

We do not yet know if the announced scoop was actually published in the days following Cossiga's remarks. Perhaps his comments were something of a trial balloon, a testing of the waters to gauge reaction.

It is curious that this item appears coupled with the revelation this week that US intelligence had come to the conclusion that Iran had ceased working on its nuclear weapons programme four years ago. That, to be sure, didn't stop George Jr. from insisting that they were still a threat:

"Look, Iran was dangerous, Iran is dangerous and Iran will be dangerous if they have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon," the president told a White House news conference a day after the release of a new national intelligence estimate representing the consensus of all U.S. spy agencies...

"So, I view this report as a warning signal that they had the program, they halted the program. And the reason why it's a warning signal is that they could restart it," the president said.

I'm certain that even if the US media began calling 9/11 an inside job, Bush would continue to insist that the threat is still Al Qaeda. And there would probably continue to be Bush supporters who would nod their heads in vigorous agreement because for people like Bush the facts don't matter. Reality is what he says it is.

Time will tell whether these events mark something of a turning point, the beginning of open warfare between the neocons and those who oppose them and between Israel and those parts of the ruling elite that are fed up with Israeli blackmail, double standards and its powerful lobbies. However, even if the in-fighting begins in earnest between the different factions of the deviants who rule over us, we can't allow ourselves to be fooled into thinking that some sort of progress has been made.

There are many people in positions of power in countries the world over who have known the truth for five years and who have said nothing about it. Interested in the truth, they are not.
