SOTT Focus

Over a year ago we watched the movie, V for Vendetta. Like many others, I thought it was a really good analogy of our present global situation even if it was presented as being "in the future." It not only conveys the idea of how the media is spun in a number of brilliant scenes, but it actually discussed the fact that words were being changed, that our language was being co-opted to the use of the psychopaths.

Let's take a look at a few clips specially edited to make the point and then I'll continue:

One year ago, at about this time, everybody was pretty excited because they were sure that the elections in the U.S. were going to change things - bring an end to the Bush Madness. However, due to our knowledge of psychopathy, we thought otherwise. One year ago, on November 8, 2006, I wrote:

"So you think "the system worked", democracy has won out, and that yesterday's election is the first step to straightening out the mess Bush and the Neocons have made on the planet?

"Think again. It's not that "the system" didn't work; it worked very well, but you have again been duped.

"Nothing has changed. In fact, many of you have been put back to sleep by the staged Democratic victory which was set up just for that purpose; to make you think you still live in a democracy. The fact is, the Zionist halter is as firmly strapped on the head of American State policy as it ever was, and the American voter needs to realize that it is immaterial which party prevails at elections."

I was right - as I have been over and over again.

It doesn't make me happy to be right.

On June 3, 2007 I wrote:

"Again and again I receive letters from political action groups asking for money and support. I've given money and support and also written endless letters and emails telling them that their "political actions" aren't going to amount to a hill of beans if they do not factor psychopathy into the equation. They were all so sure that getting the Democrats back in control was going to change everything, and the fact is, nothing has changed. All that money and effort wasted. And now people are realizing it even though we have been saying it all along."

I don't wish to single out any one "political action" group, but it is hard to ignore the fact that moveon.org - supposedly a grass-roots political action group - has raised literally millions of dollarsto support political actions - none of which have changed one damn thing. The jackboots of Fascism still march across the planet.

You just have to wonder what kinds of changes could be possible if the masses of people who donate to moveon.org were fully aware of psychopathology in politics, and fully aware that they are not up against just simply a "political" situation, but rather a criminal coup d'etat, and that putting money into "political action" is just pouring it into a black hole.

Nothing is going to change until the masses of people become aware of pathology in politics - psychopaths in power - and that awareness will either come by activism or by suffering directly at the hands of the criminals in charge; take your pick.

People don't realize that by trying to "smooth things over, make nice, and hope there is a political solution," they are just delaying the inevitable. Until you fully understand psychopathy, you cannot understand that there really is no negotiating with them. There is one solution and one solution only: for the masses of people on this planet to en masse, withdraw all support from the psychopaths in power which was the point conveyed in the movie, V for Vendetta. Nothing more and nothing less will stop the descent into mass destruction.

But that isn't going to happen unless and until literally millions, if not billions, of people become aware of the true state of affairs. Not just vaguely aware, but viscerally aware of the great peril in which we all stand at this very moment.

Let's take some clues from the movie V for Vendetta. It is a marvelous representation of our situation and some of the key elements we need to deal with.

Early in the movie we are presented with a "futuristic" reality that, to an aware individual, is not so futuristic.

As Aldous Huxley wrote in Brave New World :

The older dictators fell because they never could supply their subjects with enough bread, enough circuses, enough miracles and mysteries. Nor did they possess a really effective system of mind-manipulation.

Under a scientific dictator, education will really work - with the result that most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution. There seems to be no good reason why a thoroughly scientific dictatorship should ever be overthrown.

In short, V for Vendetta does a very good job of artistically re-creating the very reality we live in: a totalitarian regime called Norsefire.

One of the more interesting aspects of the movie is how it represents to us the effect of psychopaths upon certain types of people - the hero "V" himself, for example. In a surrealistic series of scenes, it shows us how well "V" learned the lesson and how he conveyed this to Evey by acting as her own personal psychopath. He makes it clear afterward how painful it was for him to have to shock her so severely but that he knew no other way of waking her up safely. This is a good point: how many people are going to have to die, as Evey's comedian friend Gordon Dietrich, (played by Stephen Fry) did, because they do not understand the depth of the depravity of the dystopian world psychopathy has created?

The point is that by forcing Evey to experience what he had gone through himself at the hands of psychopaths, V hoped to teach Evey that our integrity, "the very last inch of us", is more important than our lives. Evey is initially very angry at V for what he has done to her, but soon realizes that, having faced her own death, she is now able to live without fear.

We all need to face that, and the sooner the better. We need to face the fact that the pathocrats in power really DO intend the deaths of millions of people, and anybody who values human life, truth, justice, honor and integrity just happen to be in the crosshairs. There is no possibility of "working things out." There is no possibility of change until people are able to take the unpleasant medicine necessary to cure the body-politic. And generally, as I just mentioned, they are not willing to take that medicine until they are so ill they have no choice. The sad thing is that, by that time, they have generally lost precious loved ones or their own freedom.

We come back to the possibility of activism bringing about change.

Yes, it's possible. After all, we got into this mess by being hypnotized and bamboozled and conned. We COULD reverse the process with enough funds and help. People were put to sleep with propaganda, they could be awakened via a reverse process.

But that isn't gonna be cheap. Literally billions have been spent pulling the wool over the eyes of the people. There are entire government agencies with astronomical black budgets that serve the agenda of keeping people ignorant and asleep.

And that's where you, the reader, come in.

Come on! We have 10 to 20 thousand readers a day! If each of you only gave a single dollar a week, or five bucks a month, we could buy a heck of a lot of advertising, distribute truckloads of books, brochures, flyers, posters, and what have you. We could educate a whole lot of people on less than your soda money for a week! But ONLY if ALL of you pitch in! As Joe Quinn recently wrote:

The Truth is that if YOU don't do it, then not only are you going nowhere, but in the context of a group effort, there is a good chance that no one else is either, that is to say, you, each one of us, is 100% responsible for the success of this group effort.

The person who understands the True nature of the battle and the dire need for defenders on the front line, realises that if the defensive lines do not hold, if the enemy is not held at bay, if the cause for which he/she fights is not upheld then HE or SHE LOSES ALL. It is not a matter of being a mere soldier who takes orders from others and has no actual responsibility for the successful outcome of the battle, it is a matter of understanding that this is a battle for your own life and the lives of those you love, it is a battle for which you, along with each of your comrades, are SOLELY responsible.

The people who, as V described it, "see nothing", understand none of this. They believe that if they can just hang out and be on the winning side then all of their personal problems will be solved. Such a person is unable to understand the broader concepts and ideals for which the first person fights. They know that this is a fight for Truth, but they dismiss their own ability to contribute to that fight because they place value judgments on the "insignificance" of the part which they are able to play. They think: "what's one more person?... what difference will it make? I can make no difference, what's the point?"

Such a person fails to understand the nature of the battle in which they are engaged, they fail to understand or have NO FAITH in a true group dynamic and the effect it can have. They fail to understand the reality of non-linearity and that the apparently insignificant effort of one person can have GREAT significance if it is done in the spirit or with the intent of a group effort. In that case the "small effort" is automatically added to the efforts of all other members of the group and all such efforts combine to become far more than the sum of the parts.

A radically different understanding of WHY we are doing something TOTALLY changes and vastly increases the effect it can have.

Folks, we are on the front line, we need people who can stand WITH us on the front line and assume responsibility for ALL, just as we do. What we do NOT need is "hangers on", people who are here because they think they can "get" something from the efforts of others. If you believe this, let me tell you now, in the plainest possible terms, you are seriously mistaken, you will "get" nothing, for such people there is nothing to get. You receive only in the measure that you give. Give unconditionally of your efforts and energy to the cause that that small hidden part of you was drawn in the beginning and you will receive unconditionally, and not from us, because you are giving nothing to us, we are all giving to the Truth, to the creative side of the universe and in doing so we are giving to ourselves, to that part of us that yearns for true Being.

SOTT.net is entirely supported by our readers. We don't have ads, we don't have sponsors, and that means we don't have any hidden agendas. However, that means that without your financial support, we won't survive. More than our not surviving, we will not be able to help YOU to survive!

Surely, we can do better than waste money on things like putting more criminals in Congress, whether they are democans or republicrats. Let's forget that whole election nonsense; we ALL know it is rigged - democracy is already dead in the U.S. (and most of the rest of the world, for that matter.) We have already seen how the Democrats sold out their supporters and voters (as if either mattered) on their first day in office! How many times do you have to experience that to get it?

How about doing something with your money that will make a difference and maybe save the life of someone you love in the bargain (not to mention your own). That's not bad for the cost of a soda, is it? But again, everybody need to be 100% responsible even with their small contribution.

We aren't looking for donors who give a lot, we are looking for a lot of donors who can give a little - and that is just about everybody reading this website.

Remember: the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing. It is only because masses of people stood behind him that V, through Evey, was able to take on psychopaths in power.

If you don't give, who will? If not now, when?

Please don't wait until it is too late.

In the movie, at the end, we see the army of the regime in a stand-off with the masses of the people who all begin to march silently from every direction wearing Guy Fawkes masks, hats and capes. Without their psychopathic masters to tell them what to do and to underwrite their safety, the soldiers are not able to fire upon this outstanding showing of normal human solidarity.

As Parliament begins to explode in a grand finale that makes merry the heart of normal man, the people begin, one by one, to remove their Guy Fawkes masks and one finally understands the symbolism:

Even though we are all individual human beings, those of us that ARE human all need to become as One - and that means excluding psychopaths and other deviants - in our search for the truth wherever that search may lead us...

Remember, remember the Fifth of November... Put on your Guy Fawkes mask and Give a "Penny" for the Guy!

Anybody who has not seen this movie ought to get a copy and watch it with your family and friends. Give copies of it for Christmas... have "V for Vendetta" parties... you can get Guy Fawke's masks on amazon: [Link]

Everybody ought to have one. You never know when the day will come that we will all want to put it on and march...

This video and article is, to my mind, the most powerful in so far as getting across the message of the true state of our world and the need to financially support SOTT if we're going to change things. You've got my donation!

Activism That'S The Word... By Bedower

Brilliant article. I'll pass it along, as always.

"Evey is initially very angry at V for what he has done to her, but soon realizes that, having faced her own death, she is now able to live without fear. "

This is the most powerful moment in the whole movie, living without fear by experiencing your own weak and strong sides all at once means being able to face reality as it is.

What Do Sott Readers Do ???? By Prayers for rain
Prayers for rain

I don't understand that, with 10 to 20K visitors a day, among whom probably hundreds of regular readers, there's only been 42 donations since yesterday. Maybe I'm too impatient and the donations will grow little by little every day. Still, I find shocking that so many people TAKE (benefit from the Truth) and don't GIVE anything back when requested, not even a tiny donation. This is so small, and it takes only 2 minutes to do it. I don't really understand.
People are ready to move their ass, to donate for stupid and useless actions (like donate to Ron Paul !) or to sign cheques for "humanitarian" operations such as the "Telethon' in France (a vast propaganda designed to raise money for so-called "research" against Myopathy -- but it's just BS), but they can't even give 10 EUROS for Truth.
Something's wrong !

ps : to Bedower => seems you took my message quite personally, of course it wasn't aimed at people who can't donate now for whatever material reason, but at people who CAN and still DON'T ; come on, are you saying that among the tens of thousand readers per day, everybody just doesn't have a credit card or lives in a non Euro/dollar country ? Sometimes people just need a little butt kick', nothing wrong with that, and nothing disingenuous or judgmental either (btw, who judges here, seems to me it was you :))

You are being rather judgmental and not a little disingenuous here. How can you know the personal circumstances of each and every SOTT reader? For instance, I intend to donate something when I've: a) worked out how to do it as I don't have a credit card or cheque book (from choice), and b) overcome the obstacle of living in a country where the local currency doesn't buy many dollars or Euros. Any suggestions, pfr?

True Revolution By Irini
Irini

Like the people in the V movie, we grew accustomed to the lies and the propaganda, we lost touch with what Truth really means. For me, and i know for many others, SOTT was the means through which we came to see little by little the Reality, and get a glimpse of that Truth, whose value we heard so much about, while growing up. And this seeing is ugly, but there is no hope for change unless there is Seeing, and it will take a lot of people to See for a world change. Support SOTT to reach all who ask for it to See and learn. THIS IS TRUE REVOLUTION.

Many, Apparantly, Do Not See! (Part 1) By Kebon
Kebon

PART ONE

My reply is actually to Laura's comment to this.
"Like Ron Paul has any chance of being elected IF he is a decent guy, and if he were to be elected then we know he probably isn't."
"Amazing the delusions of so many people!"
What is evident Laura is that you never really checked Ron Paul properly. Otherwise, u would not have talked like that about him. The guy is MORE genuine than it gets. I believe the reason you discarded him so quickly is cos he's a Republican.
And yet, Ron Paul is Ron Paul - sure there are some social aspects on which I would not agree with him - but he would allow the states to decide on such issues not the totalitarian "federal" govt.
In the 70s I used to call myself a Communist, when that meant being anti-clerical and progressive in my country (Malta). I have been a socialist all my life except for the past years when I realized that today's champagne socialists have nothing to do with the earlier aims of socialism. You go further to the left and there you meet the libertarians – yes, cos libertarians too fight the controlling psychopaths.
Today I see socialism as an excuse for govt to control our lives with our own money. Ron Paul is a libertarian who talks sense. I have followed him since 1999. Don't shrug him off like that - investigate him - his 30-year legacy - then speak out.

Many, Apparantly, Do Not See! (Part 2) By Kebon
Kebon

PART TWO

If Ron Paul is elected the world would be a much better place. What interests me is that Ron Paul leads a Revolution I've been waiting for for a long time - the Revolution went to him.
In politics a week is a long time - if something happens and Giuliani and the rest of the Neocon clan get discarded - then we'd have a standoff between Freedom-fighter Ron and the Neocon fake, Hillary... anything can happen then. The problem is if he gets assassinated.
To conclude, I've read a lot of your stuff (mostly through good old Orlin Grabbe's hompage) - I think you're a great researcher and quite factual (give 'n take a Cassiopeia here and there :), it's a pity you speak like so many disillusioned liberals who are too deep in the bi-partisan rut they would not check anyone that stands on the right. But right and left is only the illusion that divides us.
I work at the European Parliament in Brussels, by the way. I eat politics for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My aim has long been to unite the left and right for FREEDOM!
Just do please check out Ron Paul. Just Youtube him. He is integrity personified... and coming from me that is really rich to describe a politician.

Zadius sky

Hi Kebon, did you read Beau's comment below regarding Illusions and Ron Paul. It was not intended to be an attack on Ron Paul.

Also, the system for electing the President is fixed and manipulated. So, if Ron Paul was elected, you can bet voting for him was fixed and intended that way. If not, then he's innocent in a way.

There is so much delusions that many people just cannot see the "man behind the curtain." And, if you give your money away to a hopeless cause, you are signing your life away, imo.

You Missed The Point By Laura
Laura

The point is: there is no such thing as a democratic election in the U.S. and hasn't been for a long time. If you don't believe me, please watch "Evidence of Revision" in its entirety. Go here for links to download all five parts: [Link]

Watch them and weep.

The point is, IF Ron Paul were to be elected - which is so unlikely as to be absurd to think it is even possible - then that would be evidence that he was just another "player."

The fact is, it is a waste of time and money to seek an ordinary "political solution."

I did not discard Ron Paul as a human being. He might really be a good guy. But if he actually thinks he has a chance to win an election in the U.S., and if he is actually taking people's money to do that, then I'm afraid he's just not smart enough to solve the problems.

Take that to the bank.

Events Move Slowly But Sometimes There Exist Cataclysms By Kebon
Kebon

I realize the chances are next to impossible for RP to get elected. And I certainly understand what you mean. But whatever happens, RP is waking up many people. That cannot be bad. He could be a catalyst to something yet to come. History is full of cataclysms, so we never know.

I have followed Dr Paul long enough to guarantee that he is genuinely concerned about big government controlling the people, even what they take inside their bodies.

If... By Laura
Laura

There are a lot of "ifs" here.

IF Ron Paul is really "clued in," it will do him a lot of good to read Political Ponerology. And then, if he really wants to wake people up, the best thing he could do would be to use all the money he is collecting to buy media space and time to make people aware of psychopathy.

There really isn't enough time to do much else and still have a chance to haul the buns out of the fire before they are cinders.

"Amazing the delusions of so many people!"
Maybe from our point of view, yes - but then, people reading this site are a small minority, worldwide.
The sleeping masses in America are waking up to what Ron Paul is talking about - this should be an encouraging sign. The massive individual donations today are testimony to this fact.
I, for one, am happy that Ron Paul's message is spreading because it is one step closer to seeing Truth for many, many people that otherwise would probably not even start looking. The people I 'turn on' to Ron Paul are afterwards, for the most part, quite receptive to SOTT material and more knowledge.

Illusions By Beau
Beau

I think the point Laura was trying to make was that if people think that just by electing a new person to be president that it will change things, they are living in an illusion.

If people are going to give energy (money) to an illusion then they are certainly not aware of the true nature of reality. That is the message that, imo, Laura was conveying in her comment. It was not an attack on Ron Paul at all, but rather the fact people are willing to donate to something which is so hopeless.

The main point is that THERE ARE NO DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS IN THE USofA and there haven't been for a long time!

Ron Paul has NO chance of being elected IF he is a "good guy." None, zero, zip, zilch.

It's not those who vote that count, it's those who count the votes.

If Ron Paul hasn't figured that out, then he's just not bright enough to do what needs to be done.

Checks In The Mail, More To Come! By Jgeropoulas

"Hana steps out of a storm...
She sees what must be done
So she takes off her coat
Rolls up her sleeves
And starts pitchin' in.

Hana says when life's a drag
Don't cave in.
Don't put a white flag.
Raise up
A white banner
In this manner:

Straighten your back
Dig in your heels
And get a good grip on your grief!

Hana says "Don't get me wrong
This ain't no simple Sunday song
Where God or Jesus comes along
And they save ya."

You've got to be braver than that
You tackle the beast alone
With all its tenacious teeth!

Light the lamp.

One Of The Most Important Articles By Saman
Saman

...that I have read thus far. It wholeheartedly and intellectually merges together with an excellent video and commentary that gets the point across as to what is happening in our actual world that is ruled by psychopaths, and why voting in pretentious and deceptive elections staged "from behind the curtain" by our one world government's dealings through its "compartmented" and consciously or unconsciously manipulated "frontlines" are so useless for making any REAL difference. Moreover, it has made me realize how very naive I was in the past by indecisively mulling over and focusing way too much on the movie's meaningless parts, that is those cinemographic "Hollywood razzle-dazzle" acts of violence by the character V in order to wake up and send out the message to Evey and the people of his country that they have sheepishly given away their own Free Will to a government is run by machiavellian psychopaths who have come into power by manipulating the people through their own fears. That is, these meaningless parts that were actually just meant to be as cinemographic "Hollywood razzle-dazzle" that would attract and sell the film to the masses of people who like watching action/sci-fi type of movies; therefore, this is indeed truly a movie that is "wise as serpents and gentle as doves." So by focusing and indecisively mulling over too much on these theatrically meaningless parts, I pushed aside the more paramount, symbolic, and meaningful whole of the movie in my mind, that is, the whole that is summarized very lucently in this article. Therefore, I wholeheartedly thank this article for bringing to my attention (and perhaps others with similar thoughts in the past) the flaw of having an unbalanced focus on details of the meaningless parts of the movie, rather then a more balanced focus on all details of the movie through its predominant meaningful parts.

Simple Logic By Ryan
Ryan

If you are reading the Signs page regularly, you probably agree with the following statement:

"The world is getting worse by the day".

If you agree with that statement, then you also probably also agree that if there was a way you could help reverse the process, you would.

Question is, are you willing to do that given that no guarantees or even likely probabilities for success are being offered in return? That it's all just a "long shot"?

The Signs team are. They are willing to DO something to try and oppose the New Fascist World Order that is coming into being, and if they fail, then you are really no better off than you are now anyway.

So really, what have you got to lose? They aren't asking for a lot - just whatever you feel comfortable donating. In this small way, they need your help and are asking for it.

What have you got to lose?

Or As Gandalf Said... By Shizo963

"There never was much hope. Just a fool's hope."

...and since I just finished reading Essays on Life, another quote worth mentioning:

"It is only from such a point of desperation and hopelessness, stripped of our ability to lie to ourselves, that we can find REAL hope to begin to be something different, something new.

To awaken. To DO you part - YOUR part - that is all you can do. One more rebellious light in the darkness, one more who has had enough. One more who is willing to accept and then undo all that has been done to him or her, and to stand with the other 'fools' and scream from the depths of our nascent Beings - NO MORE!"

I'm proud to be here with you all, "here at the end of all things."

Totally Agree By Stevie

Thanks to the Signs writers, for every day of their lives getting up and taking the time to shine light onto truth for everyone here to see it. I don't know how you guys all manage to do it.. I'm just so so glad that you do.

Think of all those news sources that are supported and created by the Gov, corporations, groups with specific interests.... Mmmm? Truth? Ha.

With Signs, we ALL get to support a news service that has time-proven to be 100% objective, and operated by individuals who actually give a damn about the underdogs in a world ran by ruthless people.

Well.... By Laura

I wouldn't say we are 100% objective. We just try very hard to track things down, to see the whole picture and the "unseen picture" that is indicated by the whole. And, with a team that is all over the world, finding and uploading the stories from everywhere, round the clock, we have a better chance of catching things that others miss.

And, when we are wrong, we admit it.

Send Cash By Carz6767

It would seem to me that if there was a means by which to send cash there would be an influx of donations. I fear as many that once an electronic link has been established those watching our keystrokes will have a ready made list of those they wish to take out of the equation when the time comes for the psychopaths to make there move. however a cash mailing address should alleviate those inhibitions. c

True. By Laura

We've thought of that too. Actually, since we are only asking for a small amount from each person, it probably wouldn't hurt to send 5 bux or euros in a greeting card in an envelope.

The Truth Hurts By Yossarian
Yossarian

I was taught a while ago that the truth can be very painful. Certainly many truths about myself have been.

The following truth: "The point is: there is no such thing as a democratic election in the U.S. and hasn't been for a long time. If you don't believe me, please watch "Evidence of Revision" in its entirety. Go here for links to download all five parts: [Link]

Watch them and weep."

And many other truths, like the reality described in the excellent video above, are just too painful for many people to allow themselves to consider. That coupled with YCYOR thinking, "If I just close my eyes and ignore, it it will go away," goes far in explaining some people's inability to see reality, so I think. It's just like the dear people of Germany some short number of years ago. It's no accident that we (in the U.S.) were never taught how the Nazi's actually took over Germany in school or in college--and all those other necessary facts which were so cruelly withheld from us--we have been kept ignorant so that we can be more easily controlled and enslaved.
