CLOSED: The hooded man appears to pas straight through the doors

Wearing a black hoodie which hides his face, the man approaches the closed shop doors.

He then seems to pass straight through the glass in an eerie flash of light.

Movement and lights can be seen inside the shop before the mystery man leaves in another flash.

FLASH: The ghostly man interferes with the CCTV

A homeless person sleeping beside the shop looks up in amazement as the man walks off.

The man was caught on CCTV in the US on January 30, at what looks like late at night.

The creepy video has kept people guessing, with one YouTube commenter saying: "This one is hard to believe, but looks like a hard one to fake."

Others were sceptical of a ghost's need for late-night snack.

One user pointed out: "If it was a real spirit it wouldn't need to steal food" and another joked: "I can bend time, which essentially allows me to walk through solid objects... yup, better go get some snacks."

Fascinating vid.

Either this is a very clever hoax which has taken someone weeks to construct from several overlays. (Why spend so much time on something so ephemeral...??)

Or the young guy has access to technology which is certainly not in the public domain.

It can be a hoax from a guy who wanted a job to make a movie and this is a example in his portofolio, why not.

Filmmaker portfolio example, it seems. What makes this stand out is the speculation about various GHT material - Global Hypnotic Tapes - put in our alien Overlords cassette player (sic), which broadcasts just like a [sort of] superstrong psychic-mobile-tower. Sensitive people get the signal as an 'idea' popping up in their heads while awake or asleep and then they think:
- I can go through doors in my dreams, how cool would it be if I could do it in the real world? - so the filmmaker does this pitch for investors, maybe he can get a contract. Best cheap advertisement is by word of mouth.

Just thinking a bit more...

I've watched thousands of hours of CCTV for forensic purposes.

I've never seen any CCTV light/flash glitches. Even on the cheapest of cams, during storms or power outages etc.

Notice that the flashes occur inside the store which may be the guy's doing too as he passes interior CCTV whilst he 'shops' for his late night snack.

Did anyone interview the rough sleeper I wonder?

I think any physical material should pose a barrier for anybody possessing the skill of phasing through doors. This appears to be a thin door so the super-guy should at least slow down and stop a bit and "wade-through" the door, like if he must concentrate to properly pull through all his cells and arrive at the other side intact. Just speculation.

If its not an innate super-skill - genetics - (lets say while speculating), but an extraordinary tech gadget, then it could look like this. However lots of movies use these static distortion effect to signal the audience, that an extraterrestrial power or high strangeness phenomenon is at work now.

This one is hard to swallow, as is with most videos popping up, but this one has the marks of a promo of sorts. A lot of suspicious activity, like the people bummed out to find their late night snack shop is closed and a cleverly placed homeless man for the added effect.

If you look closely, the time stamp of the CCTV is also manipulated, alluding to a "beding the fabric of time" type of incident. This could very well be a promotional video for a movie of some sort. Especially how the reporting seems to just eat at this with no question. Even the CCTV manipulation is questionable, movie-like effects being used to "disrupt the CCTV" camera. First glance and clever editing came to mind. Seriously. Daily mirror acts like this is groundbreaking?

All the signs of a promotional video for some movie of sorts. I get it, some kid can bend the fabric of time and space and uses it for a late night snack ... gimme a fucking break man.

The lights flashing inside are only visible in the right side door, not the left. Cover up the right side and you don't see any light flashes or reflections or anything in the left door. This is most certainly fake.

It does seem to be quite 'filmic'. There's a neat narrative in a short time.

As I said, I've never ever seen that sort of flash glitch on any CCTV footage.
Which could mean that it's been edited into the vid, along with walks-through-glass guy, to conceal or distract from the imperfections in the overlaid pass through door footage..

So, is it advance advertising for a bacon butty so phenomenal that the guy invented walks-through-glass tech (or stole it from ET) to get his hands on the grub?

Rather, I'd vote for lydia's suggestion that it's a portfolio piece for the guy's BA in digital media.

it's probably recorded on magnetic tape day after day. Everyday they rewind the tape and record on it again. The background is deeply 'printed' in the tape but some residual image of people in action are still visible and they look like ghost because they have been only recorded one time on the tape, while the background is recorded everyday.
