A UN probe has revealed reports accusing UN peacekeepers, members of a European mission, and troops in France's Sangaris operation of sexually abusing children.
Although there is mounting evidence suggesting UN peace keepers have sexually assaulted minors, this latest probe unearthed allegations against European Union troops (EUFOR).
Two girls said they were raped by EUFOR troops while two others say they were paid to have sexual relations with EUFOR soldiers.
The four children were aged between 14 and 16 at the time of the alleged attacks. Three of them said they believed their attackers were from Georgia.
Unprecedented in such cases, the UN released the nationalities of the accused peace keepers. They hail from Bangladesh, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
UN investigators also interviewed two children who said they were sexually abused by soldiers in France's Sangaris unit.
"The girl said she had performed oral sex on French soldiers in exchange for a bottle of water and a sachet of cookies," the interviewees' statement read. "Both she and the nine-year-old boy said that other children were abused in a similar fashion in repeated incidents involving several French soldiers."
These six cases of abuse allegedly took place at a sprawling camp for displaced people at M'Poko, near Bangui's airport.
EUFOR said it takes the cases "very seriously." UN rights Chief Zeid Ra'ad al-Hussein said it is "crucial that these cases are thoroughly and urgently investigated."
Georgia's defense ministry said it would "do everything possible to ensure that those individuals committing such crimes are held responsible."

That is a fact. Forced sexual intercourse is reported to be practised by soldiers in every war*.

This film was exactly made by Larsya Kondracki with the intention to bring KFOR and UN's hidden sexual crimes on resident women to a puplic focus.
Me, who watched that movie three years ago- I was TOTALLY SHOCKED!
It was really hard for me to carry on with my everyday- life
after my mind was exposed to the TRUTH: crimes like this exist and are going on and on...,- All under the surface of so called 'Peacekeeping Operations'.
This insane 'action' of abusing victims of war for sexual activities of any kind shows psychopathic behaviour and the loss of human values in EVERY WAY
and it seems to be under rug swept whenever this is reported to
the 'Ones in Charge'-
The leaders are, of course, not interested in too much public interest on those facts.
I ask myself: How can humans treat other humans, especially young women or children like this- when their job was originally to 'safe the world'?
How is it possible that not ONE of us,-living happily in our nice and tiny homes, in safe surrounding- is aware of sexual cruelty going on there- and! guess what!... all that is tolerated by the army superiors as - so to say 'drastic side effects'.
But these soldiers aim should be: defending peace in foreign countries!
Now that I've read SPUTNICS article, I'm really sad 'cause I have to face this:
It has become reality what I was afraid of: NOTHING HAS CHANGED. AND NEVER WILL. Extreme selfish and evil human behaviour goes hand in hand with any war. ...everywhere! -
-and as long as there is ANY WAR,- anywhere... No hope of any change- Definitely no one is powerful enough to fight this crimes....
About those "Side Effect Victims" no one cares....
