Multiple sightings of green disk over Cape of Good Hope, South Africa

This was all over Twitter a few hours ago. A few people posted sightings of this green glowing disk over a small town of South Africa. It was at the Cape of Good Hope, over Cape Town. In the enlargement above I made, you can clearly make out its disk shape and glowing bottom center.

I once reported such a metallic disk over Cape Town about 3 years ago. I found it on Google Earth map, but after making a video and reporting it on my site, Google did delete it from their map within 2-3 months. (Click here to view it). This UFO today, looks like the same craft. The one that Bob Lazar worked on at Area S4.

News states: Durban - The Twitteratti world was abuzz on Saturday night after a sighting of what is believed to be an Unidentified Flying Object [UFO] in Cape Town. The #UFOSA was trending with various people tweeting pictures of a green light that could be seen from the clouds. @Sindelo tweeted: "First it was those clouds and now green orbs are seen floating around Cape Town. The aliens have come with white supremacy! #UFOSA @PlanetZuma quipped that it was the controversial R4 billion presidential VIP Jet. "Relax people, it was just a test flight of the #GravyPlane. #UFOSA #ZumaJet," read the tweet.

I like this one.

Multiple witnesses? Check.

Military/Police/Pilot witnesses on record? Nope.

Radar confirmation? Nope.

I like the filter Richard Dolan used while researching his first two UFO books; he found that out of the thousands of reports, even when he discarded anything which didn't include multiple witnesses AND witnesses who are required to document their sightings as official records, AND radar confirmed sightings, there were still hundreds of events left to discuss.

This cluster of green disk sightings doesn't feature all of those elements, but multiple witnesses and photo evidence counts for a lot, (for instance, a photoshop hoax would be much more complicated to perpetrate with lots of different people in discrete locations). -As well, the lack of any plausible mundane explanation, ("See? This lamp post shot during the day is in the exact same place as the glowing disk seen the night before") -None of that.

This one smells legit to me.

Marketing is a new player in this area. -People with actual budgets deliberately trying to fool the public. Hoaxers with muscle.

Before I feel satisfied in dismissing this however.., I'm still puzzled by how they managed to project an image like that.

"display lights, shone from the ground" can't create images like that without doing something new which I've not heard of before, or without manipulating the post effect images and media.

I've heard a few items here and there about holographic projectors being used in concerts and such, but they all need screens of some sort.

A spotlight during ideal atmospheric conditions, with pictures taken at specific moments when the clouds were cooperating..? With ad budgets, you can afford to hire multiple photographers trained to look for the most convincing moments of the sky display before snapping and uploading their pictures.

This, however, allows for chance images snapped by regular people which might not look as convincing diminishing the effects of your campaign. -Not that we've seen any other than the three images posted. It could be a matter of putting regular spotlights in the sky in places and durations where regular photo sharing by the public is less likely, and circulating a photoshopped image so that people link any experience they might have had with the spotlight to a professionally doctored image.
