At night,
after I say my prayer for my children, families that are without homes for their children roam my mind, I see them with their arms holding their child, wondering if this current terror will ever go away, remembering their homes, longing to go back to the peaceful life that has disappeared. And I think that life is so unfair. But we make these choices to sell more weapons, stir up more dissension, in pursuit of an esoteric goal that never works nearly so well in the real world.
May I say now how lucky I feel to have been a citizen of President Carter's public? The results are real, his concern is real, his Presidency was real. Thank You Mr Carter for making me proud to be American.
