Great comments. The love has been beaten out of people and replaced with greed and narcissism. But that's what happens if you don't raise children in a healthy environment, free from government programing - schools, and media programing - Hollywood.

our 'desire' for change is actually a need or is a cultivated want designed to enrich the predator sector?
From looking over history it appears we are always fallible to this manipulation of future focusing.
It appears we as youth experience strong desires for outward reaching, to know the fringe.
This may be the drive co-opted by older, established predator sector for profit taking.
The Amish recognize this and allow a young person their year of freedom off.
Most return to the structure that had the strength to let them go.
This is our fatal flaw utilized by our predatory society.
We have 'stepped out' but in doing so
leave nothing to return to.

Very poetic comment, I agree, the youthful urge to ideology was co-opted starting back in the the 50's.

This is Permaculture. Small mixed farms and only 2 hectares of land (to include a small forest) is perfectly enough for sustainability. Instead we have import/exports and not use local produce. We no longer appreciate seasonal produce. Is there really any alternative to living naturally with and in nature?
Slow food is the way to go. Instead people expect everything 24/7 and this delusion makes such suppliers rich but devastates our planet. There is absolutely no need to live in such a way. All is ruined through mono-culture and attacking/controlling nature - so unnatural!
Small communities with plenty of interests keeping youth involved helps prevent the exodus to the 'cities' where people become slaves to the monthly wage. This is not life. Roots and the family nucleus is so important. Sadly people were sold a 'dream' so far removed from what life and living is truly about. You only have to turn on the 'news' and look about you to see the results of same. Humanity has become a failed experiment. Time to get back to the land. To heal the land that has been leached all over the planet. We were meant to be guardians of nature not destroyers of life and land.
