Comment: Spoken like a good capitalist. Any intelligent businessman would be wary of selling to a customer with such a dodgy credit record.
Ukraine is considering starting buying Russian electric power, but a final decision has not been made yet, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yury Prodan recently said.
Comment: Seriously? Who else can supply power in the amounts Ukraine requires and is willing to extend credit. The EU? The IMF? Both have already shown themselves unwilling to be drawn into the black hole that is Ukraine's debt situation without gaining something in return.
. . . Is it possible for Russia to supply electric power ONLY to those Ukrainians in the east who want to be independent from Victoria Nuland's puppets in Kiev? Specifically, is Ukraine's electrical grid separable by region, or is it set up so that if electricity is fed in to the eastern part, then the entire country's grid will also be energized? (Similar question about Ukraine's natural gas distribution system is also pertinent.)
Given that the stooges in Kiev have cut off the Russophile regions of the east from basic gov't services/assistance, it would be entirely appropriate for Russia to supply those regions if it were possible to do so without also providing such supply to the areas under Kiev's control, even if only for "humanitarian" reasons. I would not be at all surprised if Russia would be willing to supply the eastern Ukrainians with electricity and gas for free, if it came to that.
