“Simulacra + Simulation” by Jean Baudrillard is heavy going, but a great read.
Oh, now we're spinning the "cracking narrative," are we? Drawing a parallel between the two major (and incredibly clever) "limited hangout"...

Well, so much for an afterlife full of virgins just waiting for them... now it seems they are themselves unworthy of heaven. So what should they do? What would the clergy say to this sign from God? One could say it is not just a personal sign on the individual, but a sign for their whole campaign, especially in light of the fact that they have lost their mandate from heaven.
In other words, not good. If you cannot control your own body, you are unworthy of controlling anything or anyone, anywhere at anytime. Seems the clerics didn't teach them this simple fact, but then the pawns need not know their sacrificial role in the great game, in fact, it's best that they don't.
