A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.

I was traveling on the I-44 turnpike west bound from Tulsa to Oklahoma City. At about 7:00 pm I was about 2-3 miles east of the tollgate when I saw to my left what appeared to be a "shooting star" it was bright white at first but unusually large and slow also it moved irratically. It appeared to be traveling at about a 45 degree angle and moving from the east to the west. It change from a white blob to a round ball that was a blue flame on the front to a green flame on the back of the ball and a short but wide tail that was yellow with some red. It appeared to be only about 1/8 mile to the south of the highway when it disappeared behind the trees. I suppose it could have been much farther away than it appeared but I could clearly see the movement in the flames.
After passing through the toll gate I reported it to the oklahoma highway patrol at 7:08 pm.
My son was with me and he saw it as we'll. It was an interesting probably once in a lifetime experience. I'm glad he was there with me to see it.
I am curious how far south of I-44 someone would have to be in order to have seen it to the north.
