Omaha, Nebraska - A 2-year-old toddler has been seized by Child Protective Services when a clip surfaced of him using "inappropriate" language in a video posted on the internet. The standard for breaking apart families has become so broad that it now covers politically incorrect speech.

The events began when the Omaha Police Department discovered a YouTube video of a diaper-wearing child using profanity at the encouragement of two adults. OPD posted the video to its website, saying it was an example of the "cycle of violence and thuggery" in the community.

The police union said the clip came from "a local thug's public Facebook page."

After drawing criticism, the department defended its post. "This behavior is going to potentially lead this child down a path that is completely unhealthy," said Sgt. John Wells, president of the Omaha Police Officers' Association.

"Now while we didn't see anything in this video that is blatantly 'illegal,' we sure did see a lot that is flat out immoral and completely unhealthy for this little child from a healthy upbringing standpoint," the union wrote on its website.

Earlier this week, Wells said the video was turned over to the department's child victim unit, which would work with the state on "investigating" the situation, despite the admitted lack of illegal content in the video.

Nebraska's Child Protective Services wasted no time. Within hours, the state had snatched the child, according to CNN.

What is imminently more objectionable than a child being taught naughty words is the government's ability to break up a family without any form of due process or evidence of a crime being committed - let alone a conviction!

In the name of child welfare, the state is asserting the unchecked ability to send its agents to kidnap children without a trial, without a jury, and without allowing the family a legal defense. CPS is truly one of the least accountable agencies, a sad fact being exposed by an upcoming documentary.

As usual, any hopes of justice being obtained peacefully will require constant, loud, and organized public outrage. Contact information for those responsible is listed below. Also contact your local representatives and express concern over unaccountable child snatching agencies.
