...that such behavior would not be welcome, when posting comments, here on SOTT!
Here's a variation on the theme:
On the Internet, find a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge -- a glorious one, night shot, with lights, reflecting off the water -- and email it to friends.

Text: Do you want me to blow it up?
In other words, instead of "talk like a terrorist," "email like a terrorist."
I have pulled this prank on friends, much to their consternation.
NugaBurd, it's not funny here because SOTT has been actively harassed and targeted. It's not the same as some normal person doing it. In fact, if you were on some watch list, or being set up by one of our lovely agencies, would it be wise to do this?
The prank is really not funny if the other side doesn't know the punchline. They might actually have fear of the spying, and by you setting them up like that, they could be ignorant and feel like they have to report this. Remember, a lot of people are authoritarian followers, and loyally follow the mass media lies!
Funny coincidence, just the other day I was watching a show that this guy is on, called "The Whitest Kids You Know" and their show does have some funny social/political commentary too.
"The prank is really not funny if the other side doesn't know the punchline..."
Did you miss this line?
"I have pulled this prank on friends..."
Do you comprehend the concept of "friends?" In my case, that means people with both a brain and a sense of humor. People who know that "blow it up," when referring to a photo, know that it means "to enlarge." People who understand double entendre.
People who would be only temporarily taken aback. People who enjoy receiving a "gotcha!" from me as much as they enjoy sending a "gotcha!" to me. People who are both disdainful of and unafraid of "the authorities."
In short, people who don't need anyone to be their nanny.
Ok, so why the whole crap about how it would be unwelcome in SOTT?
Why single them out? It's a comment that kind of makes me wonder.
Oh and not every friend, no matter how aware is at a good position to get those jokes sent to their personal phones. I have a friend who got investigated because of what his friend wrote on facebook about Israel.
Like it or not, we have lost our freedom of privacy, so we need to be "Wise as serpents, gentle as doves" as the C's said.
"Ok, so why the whole crap about how it would be unwelcome in SOTT?
Why single them out? Sometimes I wonder what is your real opinion of SOTT, but then you are a regular poster, so despite the veiled complaints you must like this site :)"
My reference was to the behavior in the video -- that "talk like a terrorist" would not be welcome on SOTT. How could you possibly miss that? It was, after all, a comment about the video.
I then switched gears and described my prank. There was no suggestion that SOTT be the target of my prank.
In my response to your comment, I explicitly stated that the prank was a friends-only prank club matter. So why did you go off on a tangent about how I should not do that to a government employee?
Sheesh!
"Why single them out? Sometimes I wonder what is your real opinion of SOTT, but then you are a regular poster, so despite the veiled complaints you must like this site :)"
Regarding my "real opinion of SOTT," I don't recall my ever having posted any "veiled complaints" against SOTT. Perhaps you could provide an example or two?
I am not the evil ogre that you are making me out to be.
I absolutely love it. You see terrorism only works when people are afraid and thus, become cowardly. People need to remember they are American. If everyone refuses to fear their phone etc and stop saying and doing all the right things like good little sheep, it would all become white noise anyway. Funny that people think if they do and say the right thing all the time that they will end up okay anyway. And for anybody who has that historically clueless attitude "may your chains rest light upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen" Sam Adams
I've had enough of someone else's propaganda. I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it's for or against. I'm a human being first and foremost, and as such I am for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.
