Since the 9/11 attacks, no book has provided a satisfactory answer as to WHY the attacks occurred and who was ultimately responsible for carrying them out - until now.
That's what I call a tough man!
It's currently -19°C in Montréal and I have to walk about 100 m to get to school, fully clothed.

Not much luck involved here. He kept his energy output up and didn't freeze because of it. Imagine how another person in a similar situation might have stopped and huddled uselessly, waiting for the next train to come by, while their body shivered uncontrollably and they fought actually using their muscles in some misguided attempt to "conserve energy". Shivering is your body's signal that you should be flexing your muscles in the cold, they're your primary heat source. Anybody in average to good health has a lot more energy available than they generally use, and it's not hard to draw on it when faced with a life-threatening situation. Who knows? He probably could have done another 10 miles if the station had been farther... that's about the only luck factor in this situation.
I agree 100 percent with that. Running is what kept him from freezing.
smoking IS hazardous.. hugs
