A women's group placed a notice of thanks in their local paper to George Brownridge, several years ago, which accidentally made him a laughing stock, recently, on the Internet.
The note thanked Brownridge for "pleasing 15 women for an entire day" and added "We were all rather exhausted and satisfied and we look forward to next year... We all thank you."
The old newspaper notice went viral on the web, as did the apology in the [unnamed] newspaper.
The apology said: "Our intentions were to thank him for a generous holiday trip he arranged. This annual tradition is much appreciated. Any inappropriate innuendoes were unintentional and we take full responsibility for the ad that featured in yesterday's papers."
I haven’t seen this in years. Where did you pull this old chestnut from?
