Well, since this is site for people who think some facts.
Fats (triglicerides an HDL and LDL ) in blood are NOT there from ingested food. All food ingredients from digestive tract (mostly jejunum and ileum) are transported by so called hepatic portal system into liver. Liver substantially metabolize received nutrients, mainly in glucose (sugar!!).
Also, fat cells "makes" (synthesizes) body fat from... glucose and NOT from ingested fats.
What all this means?
High levels of blood fats are METABOLIC DISORDER and can hardly be maintained by excluding fats, which is accompanied in most cases by elevated appetite.
Fats in food are extremely important, first because they have most profound effect on our craving for food, so when you eat more fatty food you eat LESS. (this does not include fast food fat food, since they are adding HUGE amounts of sugar in all they products.. It helps to develop fast food junky... primary source of profit for them)
Second...TASTE!!. Fats give food smoothens and taste texture. Enjoy your food!!!
Third..ALL fat soluble vitamins and some other essential nutrients CAN NOT be resorbed without fats in our food. I hope you are aware of importance of this vitamins especially D.
