The report from the witness:

The incident took place on the 8th about 5:30pm. He lived near the Atlanta Airport. I see planes all the time and have a great view of the sky. I go outside all the time and look up. This time I had a "hunch" and went out in time to catch this thing. I had the camcorder nearby and leaned against the door frame to get steady footage.

Initial Investigation and Analysis:

The witness contacted UFO Clearinghouse Investigator Manuel Navarette on the 10th of November in regards to the sighting, an initial report was created and further information was obtained about the sighting. The witness advised that he had gotten the object on video and advised that he would send the video to the investigator. The video was sent and received by the investigator on the 18th of November and after viewing the video tape evidence, it was determined that the object did not display the characteristics of any known object, such as an airplane, blimp, meteorite. The object was then subjected to video analysis and it was determined that the object was not a airplane contrail and no object was detected in front of the contrail, either in the visible spectrum or the invisible spectrum (i.e. Infrared, Ultra-violet, etc). Analysis of the video captures was sent and the result was inconclusive as to the origin of the object.

After further investigation and after speaking with the witness, it was determined that the witness was being truthful and that the video was genuine and had not been altered in any way.

Determination:

After a lengthy and in-depth investigation, the investigators at UFO Clearinghouse have determined that the video was not altered in anyway. We have further determined that the witness was being truthful and was not deceiving the investigators in anyway.

As for the UFO Sighting, it was determined that the video was authentic and the origin of the object in the video and photographs were actual physical manifestations of a solid object and not optical illusions of any kind. It was also determined that this was not an airplane contrail, or was caused by the afternoon sun reflecting off a nearby airplane contrail. The object was not any sort of natural phenomenon such as a meteorite, comet, sun-dog, or lightning.

After further investigation, the object in the photos and video were determined not to be of any sort of animal origin such as geese, ducks, or insect.

In conclusion, the object in the video cannot be identified and is therefore classified as an Unidentified Flying Object.
