We saw the lights too along with about 30 other people in the Mill Park Condo complex at 224th St. SW in Edmonds, Washington. They looked like bright orange flying fireballs far up in the sky. They were coming from the south heading northbound directly over us, and seemed to come in some kind of succession. The time was around 7:30-8:00pm. They were very bright at first and came in 3's and 4's. They all moved at the same speed and at a consistent level in the sky. As they headed north their lights seemed to get dimmer and fizzle, but one of them that fizzled above us seemed to be moving still even after it's light went out.
I believe in the time we were looking there were around 30 or 40 of them. We called the police and they advised they were swarmed with calls but had no idea what they were.
We also saw a plane fly by which seemed to be at a much lower level than the flying fireballs.
Very odd! What was this?
