Triangles took a back seat recently with the tremendous July reports across the country of Orange Lights, and most recently a run on Bright Lights moving in seemingly controlled manners across our air space.
While not all reports have been tallied, the UFO Traffic Report covered 32 triangle cases in April and 25 in May. The triangle reports then seemed to drop off sometime in June, and were replaced by many of the Orange Light cases in July. These numbers are not scientific and may not reflect current trends, but are based solely on what was covered on these pages through reports from the MUFON database.
Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. This New London, Connecticut, witness first noticed what he thought was lightning in the sky with a "deep red glow," but soon saw a "huge triangle that covered my whole apartment complex which is about 1 mile in either direction." The object was then described as having "a dark grey shiny metallic surface," and was "two stories thick with a deep red glow coming from the center at the bottom, with electrical discharges from the rear sparks." The object disappeared within 15 minutes.

A Wesley Chapel, Florida, witness was called to the back yard by two neighbors where they "saw a triangular object in the sky moving from left to right and back left and up and down."
Then with a camera in hand, the three witnesses watched the object for two and-a-half hours. The object appeared to be hovering between about 1,000 and 3,000 feet "over I-75 near SR 54." The size was described as if "you held a dime towards the sky, the size was a little smaller than the dime."

This New Hampshire witness first heard a "loud noise" coming from the wooded area in the back yard, and looking that way, noticed lights.
"The object seemed to rise from out of nowhere." As the object began to move, the sound became louder. The sound was described as "very low digital frequency but without vibration like a jet would cause." The lights were traditional - three bright white lights at the triangle's three points and a "super bright red light" in the center. But the lights "did not emit glare or shine like normal lights do at night," the witness said, making them look "unnatural." The object was about 2,000 feet in the air and "moved at an alarmingly slow pace." The man and his girlfriend watched the object for about 2 to 3 minutes. They also contacted a nearby friend who said he did not see the object, but that a loud noise "drowned out" the radio he was listening to. The witness also stated that he saw the same object with multiple witnesses in 2000 and 2001, all within a 10-mile area.

After a blinking light caught this Pennsylvania driver's attention, the party of four pulled over to observe "a stationary triangular object in the sky" with many green, yellow, red, and white lights on it - some which would go out occasionally. They watched the object for 10 minutes before pulling away.
