A new study is showing that 1 in 38 boys in Britain are Autistic. In Cambridge University a study has revealed a massive 1 in every 38 boys are showing signs of Autism.

So what is causing this huge surge of children estimated to have Autism? What do all these children have in common? Well it could be that all these children have had the scheduled childhood vaccines? It is possible but it is not a certainty as of course we do not know which of these children if any have not had vaccinations. Sadly, despite the figures showing the high numbers of children suffering from this life long disability that are now being quoted from reputable universities worldwide, the world health authorities are still refusing to carry out large-scale studies comparing vaccinated to un-vaccinated children Such studies would so easily determine finally, the issue of the extent to which vaccination could be implicated in causing the condition. If we as parents knew once and for all whether vaccines could cause Autism then we could at last have a say in whether we felt that the vaccines outweighed the risk of Autism for our child.

Only this week we have learned that our children's fate here in the UK has been handed directly on a plate and ironically on Wednesday next week, April Fools Day,to the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.

April Fools day makes perfect sense because the JCVI are supposed to be a group of independent experts and professionals that meet up every few months to ensure that our vaccines are safe. Sadly these professionals are not as independent as we are led to believe. Many are tied in with very drug companies that make the vaccines. This was revealed in the Sunday Express article Jab leaders linked to vaccine programmes. Actually this was not the first time questions had been asked about the conflicts of interest of a few members of this elite committee. Lisa Blakemore-Brown had continually raised questions about members of this committee over the past couple of years. In particular Professor Sir Roy Meadow , Professor Elizabeth Miller, epidemiologist for the vaccine programme and Dr David Salisbury

She said on the comments Times Online
"Professor Sir Roy Meadow also works in the area of vaccine research in which cot death is one of the adverse reactions.

On 6th July 1988 in Room 1611/12 Market Towers, he sat with others including Professor Elizabeth Miller, epidemiologist for the vaccine programme and Dr David Salisbury, with a similar remit at the Depart ment of Health in the Joint Sub Committee on Adverse Reactions to vaccines and immunisation.

During these meetings held over many years, deaths of babies were routinely discussed.

Leading medics have written to other medics about three and four children dying in one family within one area where the rate of cot death was much higher than in other parts of the country. At least two families reported how the deaths followed vaccines.

So why is a vaccine reaction, clearly well known to the inner medical circle, NEVER mentioned as part of the differential diagnosis?

Even now Hey and Bacon fail to even mention it.

Its time the public knew about all this

Lisa Blakemore-Brown, London, UK"
Today One Click reveal that on the 28th March 2009 Lisa spoke at the London Autism Rally

She said during her speech
"Media Gagging

Increasingly, as the Press is gagged and silenced, these matters have reached the internet. Shockingly, there have even been efforts to gag people with websites who are providing the public with information where conflicted mainstream media fails. Jane Bryant at One Click was recently threatened with legal action by Dr David Salisbury unless she removed certain articles. Who are these people who sit on these Committees in charge of Public Health? What is their background? Why are the public not made aware of their conflicts of interest? They claim the high moral ground but I am sorry to say that by ignoring the constant suffering of increasing numbers of children/ blaming parents when they know all about adverse reactions to vaccination and don´t even mention this fact in Court and using threats against those who try to expose the truth, there is little evidence of any moral integrity at all. The circle is complete - but no-one in the mainstream Press dares to report it. No-one is listening. Eyes are blind to the health, social and educational needs of those affected right now and to the financial, social and health disaster ahead of us. Blatant and gross injustices have driven me to search out the truth over the last 12 years, and I am not alone in reaching the conclusions I have just discussed. I leave it to you to make up your own mind about what has been going on."
Lisa has tirelessly raised issues that have been continually ignored and glossed over for years. The professionals in the JCVI clearly cannot be trusted with some of them even being proven to have ties and links to drug companies. Others have been shown to have extremely strong conflicts of interest and yet our Government are allowing them to vet and decide the vaccine schedules for our children.

All this is very scary because parents could soon be threatened with no school if their children are not vaccinated. This is not really a threat though is it? Every child by law in the UK has to have an education, therefore if a child cannot go to school because they are not vaccinated then this is blackmail because if a parent does not send a child to school then they are breaking the law. This could mean a prison sentence or removal of the child from the care of it's parents.

Of course this all seems far removed from where the term Autism originated from. Kanner is probably who most of us associate with the early studies on Autism. He put Autism largely down to what he called Refrigerator mothers or cold parenting. Kanner did many of the very early studies on Autism and Autistic behaviour. These were carried out in the early 1940's. We know far more about Autism since those early days but have we really as a society moved on? Doctors still blame the parents of Autistic children for their condition, not so very different then.

Accusations of Munchausens by Proxy are rife right across the world and a large majority of the parents accused have Autistic children. Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy or MSBP is a diagnosis given to a mother or care giver to describe aspects of their behaviour. This behaviour usually includes subjecting [what appears to be] a previously healthy child to unnecessary and often painful tests or medical interventions i.e. scans, x-rays and even surgical procedures to gain attention from the medical profession. The article Stigma - A Wrong Diagnoses of Munchausens by Proxy is a strong article explaining the theory and how sometimes it can go wrong. It is over four sections with a falsely accused mother telling her story.

Maybe in terms of Autism, it is society that is cold and not the parents. In Lisa Blakemore-Browns book 'Reweaving the Autistic Tapestry' She describes in chapter 6 a 'failing system' In a short breakdown of this chapter in her introduction she writes
"Fascination about the world, concern for others and personal integrity weave into a rainbow of hope. However, politics, money and power, deceit and controversy lurk behind every wonder of the real world, ready to strike like lightening as we pause to gaze. This is the rain in the rainbow. For many parents with children whose development is disordered, life can be like a permanent darkening storm. As they lose touch with their child through their withdrawal or opposition and then seek support, they may find their child is not the only one who fails to listen. Many problems can beset the family which sets out on the unmade road to recognition and support for it's the child with special needs."
She then lists the failures she sees. One of the failures on her list is ' Blaming families instead of respecting them and helping them to identify the difficulties'

Throughout her amazing book she speaks of colour, threads and tapestries, Not words usually associated with Autism, however, Lisa sees Autistic children not as individuals who are sad, lost and worthless but as beautiful colourful and unique tapestries each one complex and made up of many different threads of disorders and idiosyncrasies all woven together to make the child's unique picture.

Her book is truly beautiful, it is an insightful piece of work and gives you a glimpse into what a wonderful, deep and wise woman Lisa really is. Lisa is one of the earliest professionals to link vaccines to the rise in Autism but instead of listening to her words our cold uncaring society full of it's uncaring professionals, money grabbing drug companies linked to our governments, media and vaccine safety committees she has been treated appallingly. This book should be on bookshelves in every bookshop in the country. We in Britain and the world should be proud to have a professional campaigning for our Autistic children and helping us to understand the complexities of Autism and the Autistic mind.

Indeed Earl Howe House of Lords clearly thought so and had this to say about her book back in 2003.
"I believe that Lisa Blakemore-Brown's book Reweaving the Autistic Tapestry, should be required reading in every LEA (local education authority) - and in the Department of Health. It is very persuasive."
Sadly her book along with Lisa herself has come up against many members of our cold uncaring society on her journey through life who instead of embracing her brilliant mind have instead seeked to destroy her and her book for daring to speak out about such things. Fortunately you can buy a copy on in the Amazon bookshop

I have a suggestion of my own Tapestry for our failing system to think about
T - Teachers need to be taught more about Autism

A - Autistic children should be embraced and loved

P - Parents need help and support, not blame

E - Education authorities require more funding to meet the needs of Autistic pupils

S - Society needs to learn to be more accepting of people who have Autism

T - Training should be given to social workers in the field of Autism

R - Real help from our governments instead of just broken promises.

Y - Youth workers should be available to help Autistic teens.
If we could only as a society embrace Autism instead of running from it then maybe this world be a better place for all children and adults with Autism.

In Lisa's book are these words written as only Lisa could write them
