The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

New! September 3, 2002 - Cassiopaea Receives Threat after publishing article on Organic Portals

Organic Portals: The "Other Race" - Probably the most important material ever brought forth by the Cassiopaeans. - At the bottom of this is perhaps the answer as to the source of one of the most enduring debates of human history i.e. good versus evil. Why is it that there is so much strife in the world, why are so many divided over the promotion of war or peace, respect or disrespect, environmental protection or destruction, in short, a purely material self serving outlook or a spiritual serving of others outlook?  - Perhaps we are getting close to the answer, for the truth would seem to be that there is not and never has been a homogenous  “we” (the human race) on the planet, “we” are not all alike, “we” do not see the world in the same way, “we” are not just a divided race, we are two different races.

General Ashcroft's Detention Camps: Time to Call for His Resignation - Now more Americans are also going to be dispossessed of every fundamental legal right in our system of justice and put into camps. Jonathan Turley reports that Justice Department aides to General Ashcroft "have indicated that a 'high-level committee' will recommend which citizens are to be stripped of their constitutional rights and sent to Ashcroft's new camps." Comment: This is not a joke, folks. Time to write your representatives. Which one of YOUR relatives is going to be detained? Will YOU be the first on your block to go? Of course, everyone thinks "no ME!" Don't kid yourself.

A Jonathan Turley column in the national edition of the August 14 Los Angeles Times ("Camps for Citizens: Ashcroft's Hellish Vision") begins: "Attorney General John Ashcroft's announced desire for camps for U.S. citizens he deems to be 'enemy combatants' has moved him from merely being a political embarrassment to being a constitutional menace." Actually, ever since General Ashcroft pushed the U.S. Patriot Act through an overwhelmingly supine Congress soon after September 11, he has subverted more elements of the Bill of Rights than any attorney general in American history. -

As Harvard Law Professor Lawrence Tribe said on ABC's Nightline (August 12): "It bothers me that the executive branch is taking the amazing position that just on the president's say-so, any American citizen can be picked up, not just in Afghanistan, but at O'Hare Airport or on the streets of any city in this country, and locked up without access to a lawyer or court just because the government says he's connected somehow with the Taliban or Al Qaeda. That's not the American way. It's not the constitutional way. . . . And no court can even figure out whether we've got the wrong guy."

Secret Hearings Conceal 9/11 Terrorist Links to Congress & White House - While researching various sections of a related story surrounding growing evidence that the FBI and other government entities are more closely linked to pre-9/11 insider trading than previously was thought, it was found that the Secretary of State and two other State Department officials, the Central Intelligence Administration (CIA) Director, three senators, and a congressman actually met with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Security Agency (ISI) chief, who had wired $100,000 to fund the operations of terrorist hijacker leader Mohammed Atta just prior to the attacks. But worse, actual evidence is available that the White House and CNN doctored the transcript of National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice’s damage control press conference, held at 4 pm that afternoon on May 18, 2001.

WEAPONS OF THE OCCULT WAR - Troy Southgate examines late Italian philosopher Julius Evola’s Men Among the Ruins: Post-War Reflections of a Radical Traditionalist:

And now we come to one of the most interesting chapters of the book, in which Evola questions whether the various areas of human existence have been affected by higher forces. In other words, by those of the supernatural or occult dimension. The decline of the West, in particular, is said to be a direct result of the hidden forces at work. Evola explains: "The occult war is a battle that is waged imperceptibly by the forces of global subversion, with means and in circumstances ignored by current historiography. The notion of occult war belongs to a three-dimensional view of history: this view does not regard as essential the two superficial dimensions of time and space (which include causes, facts, and visible leaders) but rather emphasises the dimension of depth, or the ‘subterranean’ dimension in which forces and influences act in a decisive manner, and which, more often than not, cannot be reduced to what is merely human, whether at an individual or a collective level."

This seems clear enough. Indeed, the current of which Evola speaks transcends the governmental domain and concerns the forces which lie far beyond the purely exoteric plane. By "subterranean," Evola is alluding to the fact that such activity takes place not within the human subconscious, but as part of a deliberate plan which has been meticulously formed by capable and intelligent agents of subversion. But this third dimension should not be seen as some kind of ridiculous or convenient fantasy designed to account for the erosion of Tradition, it is a concept which is fully steeped in reality.

He cites the Classical idea in which the forces of the cosmos are waged against the forces of chaos: "To the former corresponds everything that is form, order, law, spiritual hierarchy, and tradition in the highest sense of the word; to the latter correspond every influence that disintegrates, subverts, degrades, and promotes the predominance of the inferior over the superior, matter over spirit, quantity over quality."

U.S has designs on Controlling the World - Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, accusing the United States of coveting Middle Eastern oil and believing it should "control the world," said Monday that such U.S. designs are starting to dawn on European leaders and should concern all the world's citizens.

Comment: We know there is a consortium out there which controls things from behind the scenes. Through this consortium, the fabled "One World Government" has been established. Let's look at how this is presented in the US and how it is used to perpetuate the Matrix Control System.

First, the phrases "One World Government" and "New World Order" are now starting to carry the same emotional spin which was once reserved for "communism" and "socialism". Of course, one way this was achieved was by tying the idea of "One World Government" to the idea of communism or socialism. That way, all the psychic fear instilled in the fifties and sixties could be directly transferred to this new, manufactured threat that is not a threat. So this is the first clue that something fishy is going on. When that much psychic energy is being mustered, you know it ain't good.

There is a very lively "meme" in certain sections of the US that the UN is the NWO and that the UN is evil. The assumption behind this idea is that the US is not part of the NWO and that the US is not evil. Or that those people in government who are against the UN are good. Which leads to the idea that by somehow guarding the autonomy of the US vis-a-vis the UN, the aims of the NWO are thwarted. It promotes the idea that any curtailing of the independence of action of the US is a threat to "our" "liberty".

Can we take any of these ideas seriously from an esoteric standpoint?

When we look a little more closely, we see that what this actually means is that the UN works to circumscribe the power of the US government to do as it wishes with the rest of the world. It reigns in the neighbourhood bully.

So where might this meme of "UN as NWO" originate?

Let's think about this.

The consortium doesn't need the UN. It can work with the governments as they exist. Of course, once the UN exists, they can use it, too. But it is incorrect, in my opinion, to see the UN as the specific manifestation of the NWO or as a worse manifestion of the NWO than any other government.

It is probably closer to the truth to say that the Consortium is itself the One World Government. And all the rest is emotional manipulation. So by siding with one or the other and buying into the emotional drainage set off by labels such as NWO, you are attaching yourself to the feeding tube.

The Consortium is real. "NWO" or "One World Government" are not only hooks to drain emotional energy, they divert our attention from the fact that the U.S. is the Capital of Service to Self. It is becoming increasingly obvious that a "straw man" has been created for the U.S. to "knock down," all the while the U.S. prosecutes its agenda of becoming the New World Order itself. It is the political arm of the Beast.

US in disarray over Iraq as Powell backs call for weapons inspectors - Colin Powell, the cautious-minded US Secretary of State, said he supported the return of UN inspectors as a "first step" towards neutralising Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction. Mr Powell's words directly contradicted a series of speeches by Vice-President Dick Cheney, who said the time for inspections was over and that a pre-emptive strike was the only viable solution.

Iraq said today it was ready to discuss a return of United Nations weapons inspectors, but only in a broader context of ending sanctions and restoring Iraqi sovereignty over all its territory.

US blocks deal on clean energy - An "unholy alliance" of oil exporting countries and the United States, backed by Japan, succeeded in frustrating all attempts to set a target and managed to include clauses promoting nuclear power and fossil fuels that are the main cause of global warming.

NASA Study Finds Rapid Changes in Earth's Polar Ice Sheets - Recent NASA airborne measurements and a new review of space-based measurements of the thickness of Earth's polar ice sheets concludes they are changing much more rapidly than previously believed, with unknown consequences for global sea levels and Earth's climate.

IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Ya'alon's controversial remarks earlier this week were "true and correct" and described "the situation as it is," Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said yesterday. Ya'alon, both at a conference organized by the chief rabbis on Sunday and in an interview with Ha'aretz Magazine, described the Palestinian threat as "cancerous," said the current Palestinian leadership does not recognize Israel's right to exist, and that a unilateral withdrawal from the territories would constitute giving in to terrorism. - Regarding the possibility of an American attack on Iraq, the prime minister said he believes this should be discussed only in closed forums, rather than in the media. The U.S., he added, has also requested that Israel keep a low profile on this issue.

Comment: I discovered an interesting little set of facts yesterday. Did ya'll know that anti-Semitism - as "practiced" by the Nazis, actually began in America? Did you know that the research institute that established the "fact" that Jews were "unacceptable" was created and funded by Rockefellers and Carnegies?

State loses track of 302 abused or neglected kids - The fact that hundreds of Michigan foster children are missing disturbs some child advocates. "How can you have a system in place and not know where 189 children are?" said Nannette Bowler, director of the Chance At Childhood Program at Michigan State University and the Detroit College of Law in East Lansing.

After an adventurous 7-year long tour among the planets, the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft will arrive at Saturn in July 2004.

New! September 2, 2002 - The killings of four soldiers' wives at Fort Bragg in just six weeks have forced the Army to take a hard look at the culture of its elite soldiers that considers revealing any hint of domestic problems to be a sign of weakness. - In every case, the husband was the suspect and there was marital discord. Three of the men, including two who took their own lives, had returned from Afghanistan as part of the Special Forces.

Real Video of Portland Protest - Just the beginning, folks.

Former Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole stepped into the intensifying U.S. debate on Iraq on Sunday, urging President George W. Bush to seek congressional approval for any plan to topple Saddam Hussein in order to present a united front. - "Iraq is like a runaway freight train loaded with explosives barreling toward us. We can act to derail it or wait for the crash and deal with the resulting damage," Dole wrote.

As some in the Bush administration press the case for a pre-emptive strike against Iraq, weapons experts say there is mounting evidence that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has amassed large stocks of chemical and biological weapons he is hiding from a possible U.S. military attack. - Jon Wolfsthal, an analyst with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said Iraq's inventory is significant.

Comment: What a joke. Carnegie in bed with the Rockefellers back in 1906 to declare Jews were "subhuman" and ought not to be admitted to the US. A few years later, based on some Carnegie-Rockefeller "experts" who gave testimony to Congress, laws against the admission of Jewish immigrants to the US were passed along with laws against "miscegenation." Not long after, Rockefeller began buying all the Jewish brains in Europe and setting them up in Princeton to build him a big bomb, while at the same patting Hitler on the back for adopting the same anti-Jewish, anti-miscegenation laws that were already in effect in the USA. And now we have another Rockefeller-Carnegie "expert" ready to testify before Congress. Wonder how much his lies cost and how many Jews they intend to kill with their ruse of bombing Iraq?

Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz is in the company of more than 100 world leaders at the Earth Summit in Johannesburg after telling CNN that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction and that Baghdad was willing to prove it to U.S. congressmen by "technically viable" means. "Everybody in the world should know that there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq," Aziz told CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer.

Pakistan will not join the United States in any military action against Iraq and its leader Saddam Hussein, the country's president, General Pervez Musharraf has said.

The president, vice president and chairman of Japan's largest utility are quitting following a nuclear safety scandal, along with two advisers. - TEPCO is suspected of falsifying 29 cases of safety repair records.

The trial of a Rwandan colonel alleged to have masterminded the country's 1994 genocide has resumed in Tanzania. Colonel Theoneste Bagosora is accused of ordering Hutu militia to slaughter rival Tutsis during a 100-day orgy of violence that left an estimated 800,000 people dead.

South Korea has begun a massive clean up in the wake of the worst typhoon to hit the country in 40 years. - Rusa dumped up to 89 centimeters (36 inches) of rain within 30 hours in the eastern city of Gangneung, as winds tipped 200 kilometers an hour, before moving out of the peninsula Sunday afternoon.

Tropical storm watches were in effect from north of Titusville, Florida, to Fernandina Beach and from the Savannah River to the South Santee River in South Carolina.

Most employees who expose workplace wrongdoing face some form of retaliation, and many still lack the legal right to protect themselves, says a report released Sunday by a whistle-blowers advocates organization.

Computer databases already have a lot on us: Credit cards keep track of airline ticket purchases and car rentals. Supermarket discount programs know our eating habits. Libraries track books checked out. Schools record our grades and enrollment. - Individually, such technologies appear benign. But taken together, civil libertarians and some technologists say, they open the door to unprecedented intrusions into our lives. - What has changed most since September 11 is the threshold for tolerance among citizens. "Things that maybe were going nowhere before September 11 got a lot of push," said Lee Tien, a staff attorney at the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Will ice melt open fabled Northwest Passage? - A well-documented continuing Arctic thaw is reducing polar ice, a change that is likely to have profound effects on commerce, ecology and native cultures...

The plot thickens for researchers studying the West Nile virus and its spread across the United States. A suspicious case in Georgia has experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention looking at the role of organ and blood donation. The case involves a woman killed in a car accident. After her organs were donated and implanted in four recipients, all got sick and one has died.

New! September 1, 2002 - Once called manic depression, the disorder afflicted adults. Now it's striking kids. Why? - Bipolar disorder—once known as manic depression, always known as a ferocious mental illness—seems to be showing up in children at an increasing rate. - Nicole Cabezas hallucinated wildly, trying to jump out of the car, pulling off her clothes and ranting that people were following her, so this seemed like a pretty good time to hurry. Nicole, 16, had been having problems for a while now—ever since she was 14 and began closeting herself in her bedroom, incapable of socializing or doing her schoolwork, and contemplating suicide. - The past few months had been different, though, with the depression lifting and an odd state of high energy taking its place. Nicole's thoughts raced; her speech was fragmented. She went without sleep for days at a time and felt none the worse for it. She began to suspect that her friends were using her, but that was understandable, she guessed, since they no doubt envied her profound gifts. "I was the center of the universe," she says quietly today. "I was the chosen one." - Six months later, doctors at last reached a diagnosis: she was suffering from bipolar disorder.

Although the official tally of Americans suffering from bipolar disorder seems to be holding steady—at about 2.3 million, striking men and women equally—the average age of onset has fallen in a single generation from the early 30s to the late teens. - experts estimate that an additional 1 million preteens and children in the U.S. may suffer from the early stages of bipolar disorder. Moreover, when adult bipolars are interviewed, nearly half report that their first manic episode occurred before age 21; 1 in 5 says it occurred in childhood.

Comment: Please read our article Noë and The Ark for a brief account of our own interaction with an individual diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder. Also, note that this individual was closely associated with the events recounted in the Adventures Series. We are left with some puzzlement about such individuals. Are they crazy because they are manipulated to be agents of the Matrix? Or are they selected to be "agents" because they are crazy? Or are they just products of genetic engineering by the Hyperdimensional Control System? So-called "Indigo kids?"

Several members of the Quantum Future School are working on an article that will include some startling new material delivered by the C's this year regarding these issues.

In dealing with mass audiences, said Goebbels, "tbe most primitive arguments are the most effective". - Goebbels' core philosophy, based on a tabloid-style populist approach, was said to have been partly inspired by the ideas of the first Lord Northcliffe. "It was a mistake", Goebbels once said, "to conduct propaganda in such a way that it will stand up to critical examination of intellectuals". He believed that "intellectuals always yield to strength" and that strength was gained by controlling the masses.

Comment: I think I have mentioned somewhere on the site that our son attended a well-known graphic design school. One part of the curriculum concerns techniques of advertising. The instructor told the class on the first day that all advertising - which is essentially propaganda - was geared to the mental and emotional age of a child of 13. He produced the studies which showed that this is the average "intellectual capacity" of the majority of Americans. In short, it is common knowledge among media spin doctors that the American people are too stupid to figure out that they are being manipulated.

I was certainly distressed to learn this, but it sure explained why commercial advertising was so "dumb" and why media programming was so juvenile.

Those of you who have watched Alex Jones' flick: The Road to Tyranny, must surely have noticed that the cops who dragged an innocent woman out of her car and arrested her in the police tape that was included, were about as dumb as they come. I could hardly believe that they would pass a high school history test. How did they get their diplomas?

However, it occurred to me that maybe - just maybe - the controllers aren't giving human beings the credit they deserve. The masses of Americans have been treated like the frog in the pan of water - the level of their "dumbness" is NOT innate, but has been foisted on them by the Control System for the past 50 or more years. It is NOT an incurable condition, though the cure may be quite painful in the long run.

Even though Michael Ruppert, in the following essay, takes a very dim view of the situation, we here at Cassiopaea continue to think that the future is open. Who knows what the flapping of a butterfly's wings might do in nonlinear terms?

No Way Out? - Michael Ruppert writes: Almost a year after Sept. 11 where are we? In the last year the Bush Administration and the financial, economic and oil interests which it serves, have proved their continued ability to move forward into totalitarianism and naked aggression faster than any forces of either domestic or international opposition could organize... Optimistic and valiant, but inexperienced efforts to fight the juggernaut have started, swirled, eddied and drifted as the Blitzkrieg war that "will not end in our lifetimes" has not even so much as looked sideways. Overwhelming evidence of the regime's crimes in a dozen arenas has been brought to the surface, and yet each new revelation only spurs the Empire to accelerate its long-conceived plans rather than slow down. - the criminality of the economic elites has been so overt as to seem careless about what they did, and who saw it.

[N]othing has appeared in the form of any organized effort which, based upon past experience, offers any likelihood of success in challenging the Bush Administration or those who direct it.

[There are many who] expend needless energy debating whether explosives were placed in the towers, whether the planes were remote controlled, whether an airliner really hit the Pentagon, or whether maybe Congress will actually do something about any of it. These debates are worse than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. They are expediting the demise of people who could otherwise be constructing life rafts. The proof already exists that the government lied.

"When you see someone with their head cut off, it is not necessary to take a pulse."

Suits have been filed by groups of victims' families against the government or the airlines asking legitimate questions about what happened on 9-11. These suits will fail completely as the government has already intervened to control what records are released in court. Certain members of the classes will be approached quietly and offered payoffs of one kind or another to fragment unity, and the lawyers will likely be compromised or worn out. - Those who go along with the government will be used and may get something. Those who hold out will be worn down, exhausted, intimidated and left with nothing.

Even while Congress is in recess, the FBI has stepped up a probe of certain members of the Senate to find out who dared to leak to the American people the damning fact that the National Security Agency had intercepted warnings on Sept. 10 that the attack was going to occur the next day. Ashcroft's G-Men have moved to make Senators and their staffs hand over calendars, phone records and other information that should -- by right -- be privileged information under the separation of powers. Voluntary compliance by Senate leaders like Bob Graham, who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, only adds to the covert and overt intimidation of Congress that has taken place since 9-11.

Two members of Congress, Democrat Cynthia McKinney and Republican Bob Barr, who offered open criticism of various parts of the administration's illegal activities, have been booted out of the House in a very well planned and executed conspiracy. As different as night and day politically, the two had one thing in common -- they dared to criticize or question the administration's actions in the wake of 9-11. They will forever remain an object lesson to any members who would oppose Caesar.

The administration has already deployed and committed more than 100,000 combat troops in preparation for the invasion of Iraq, which will certainly result in tens of thousands of civilian casualties. That invasion may find it convenient for the U.S. to also occupy our newest declared (sort of) enemy, Saudi Arabia. Together, those two countries own 36 percent of all the known oil on the planet. It has been decided that President Bush need not seek congressional approval before launching the invasion. [...]

[T]he world stands at the brink of a global event which may perhaps be the most significant event in human history.

What will be given to European governments and to the American people is a fragile pretext to sanction something that is going to happen anyway. At that moment, everything that America once represented to the world as good will be lost and the U.S. will be, and in some cases already is, viewed as nothing more than a new Roman Empire -- naked in its power, unabashed in its greed, and brutal in the imposition of its wishes. We will have reached that unique common denominator which has spelled the decline and fall of every totalitarian empire in human history -- might makes right.

And most of the American people, with their bankrupt and corrupt economy, will welcome cheap oil, while it lasts, and they will engage in a multitude of psychological and sickening rationales that will, in the end, amount to nothing more than saying, "I don't care how many women and children you kill. Just let me keep my standard of living."

If this is the best that the human race has to offer, then perhaps we need an apocalypse. I, for one, am ashamed of my government and most of my fellow citizens. One year after 9-11 the only ones who really got it right are the recent demonstrators in Portland, Ore. who took peacefully to the streets against George W. Bush on Aug. 23, only to be spayed with pepper spray and shot with rubber bullets. And I'm not sure that even they understand what is at stake yet.

Comment: Mr. Ruppert is quite correct in our opinion. I'm not sure if he is aware of the hyperdimensional nature of the Ultimate Controllers who are driving the current Regime to set the stage for... what? Please see the comments at the end of our article: Comments on the Pentagon Strke, and order our informative booklet (too hot to put on the website!) 9-11: Countdown to Armageddon

Are YOU Brainwashed? Take this simple test to find out:

1. Do you believe that the United States was struck by a terrorist attack on Sept. 11?
2. Do think that the people behind that attack were "Arabs" and that its "mastermind" was this fellow Osama bin Laden, operating from a cave in Afghanistan?
3. Do you believe that the way to stop terrorism is to hit them hard, to hit them at their "bases" in such places as Afghanistan, and to hit the nations who might sponsor them, like, say Iraq?
4. Do you think that the recent fall of the stock market, and the weakness in the economy, have been caused by the Sept. 11 attacks?

Well, if you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you probably are brainwashed! If you answered "yes" to more than one, you are definitely a "goner."

Brainwashing methods are relatively simple and classic. First, use the terror itself to put people into a state of shock, making them more susceptible to suggestion. Then resort to the "Big Lie" technique to repeatedly hammer home your psywar message--those affirmative answers to the questions everyone is asking. And most importantly, lie, by suppressing all counter-evidence.

Media Distortions - Some interesting presentations of how to "suppress counter evidence" by media manipulation of images.

[Goebbels] was able, until the very last minute, to encourage and exploit a blind trust in Hitler and his genius. It is indeed one of the macabre phenomena of the Third Reich that even in their country's agony the mass of the German people remained docile and faithful to Hitler's banner ... In spite of everything they had experienced, they kept the faith. [p. 133]

He understood the value of admitting reverses and even, now and then, errors; his readiness to be thus "candid" was a kind of knowledgeable wink at his audience -- "Look, I take you seriously. Let's be frank with one another" -- and enabled him to ensnare them all the more. The result was that later on, after 1943, after he had borrowed ... the "blood, sweat and tears" theme of Churchill, people were ready to believe in the ray of hope which he astutely let shine through the somber coloring of his speeches. [p. 134]

Even when the terrible end was glaringly obvious to all, Goebbels still spoke with eloquent, controlled passion, frankly acknowledging the supreme gravity of the situation while inspiring hope. He had not lost his ability to rouse his countrymen with fervor as well as a certain seeming nobility. [...]

In his final testament written just hours before he took his life, Hitler named Goebbels as his successor as Chancellor -- a tribute to steadfast loyalty even to the bitter end. But Goebbels held this empty position for just a few hours. After he and his wife had their six children put to death, and with Soviet troops just a few hundred yards away, on the evening of May 1, 1945, Joseph and Magda Goebbels ended their lives in the courtyard outside the Führerbunker.

Contrary to popular belief, Goebbels was successful as a propagandist not because he was a master of the "Big Lie," but rather as a result of his fidelity to facts and truth.

"Goebbels' real lies, his conscious lies, always pertained to mere detail ...," writes Heiber. "Goebbels' lies were more in the nature of those equivocations and evasions by which government spokesmen everywhere seek to 'protect' the 'national interest'." [pp. 134, 135] [...]

The typical American imagines that if he had been living in Third Reich Germany, he would not have "fallen" for Goebbels' "obvious" lies.

Such a self-flattering view is based on ignorance. In his classic study, Propaganda (New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1968; Vintage, 1973 [p. 54]), French scholar Jacques Ellul pointed out that Goebbels' postwar image is itself a propaganda distortion:

There remains the problem of Goebbels' reputation. He wore the title of Big Liar (bestowed by Anglo-Saxon propaganda) and yet he never stopped battling for propaganda to be as accurate as possible. He preferred being cynical and brutal to being caught in a lie. He used to say:

"Everybody must know what the situation is." He was always the first to announce disastrous events or difficult situations, without hiding anything. The result was a general belief between 1939 and 1942 that German communiqués not only were more concise, clearer and less cluttered, but were more truthful than Allied communiqués (American and neutral opinion) -- and, furthermore, that the Germans published all the news two or three days before the Allies. All this is so true that pinning the title of Big Liar on Goebbels must be considered quite a propaganda success.

Conservative Party leader Iain Duncan Smith says he supports a pre-emptive US offensive against Iraq because he believes Britain is on Saddam Hussein's list of targets for a missile attack.

Comment: As another commentator has already asked: why is it that Saddam's possession of any kind of weapons is seen as such a threat when the same weapons in the hands of other governments are not? Why is Israel's or India's or China's nuclear arsenals not seen as a reason for us to go over there and "pre-emptively" given 'em the old sledge-hammer whack on the big toe? Why is the West so concerned about Iraq having what everybody else has? As was pointed out in the article Making excuses for war, Mr. Cheney announced that Saddam Hussein is a bad man who has chemical and biological agents and hopes to develop nuclear weapons as well. Well, heck, nobody really denies that, but most of the world views the prospect without undue hysteria.

Cheney tells everybody (sounding a bit like Goebbels constantly repeating himself): "[Saddam] is amassing them to use against our friends, our allies, and against us." [Once he has nukes, Saddam would] "seek domination of the entire Middle East, take control of a great portion of the world's energy supplies, directly threaten America's friends throughout the region, and subject the United States or any other nation to nuclear blackmail."

We certainly haven't noticed the other countries who have nuclear arsenals using them to coerce other nations. Israel has them. India has them. China has them.

What argument is Cheney and the gang - now including Mr. Iain Duncan Smith - using to suggest that Saddam is less capable of handling the power of a nuclear arsenal?

Well, because he's so "reckless." That's it. Saddam is a reckless megalomaniac. Never mind that he must have been exercising tremendous restraint in the Gulf War because he did not recklessly and megalomaniacly bring out the purported chemical and biological weapons that he was supposed to have during that conflict. That is, of course, if it is true that he even HAD or HAS such weapons as Cheney and the gang keep declaring. I mean, if he had them, and he's such a bully, why didn't he use them? Come on Cheney! Hurry up! What's the answer to that one?

Nope, none of the rhetoric stands up to scrutiny. The US and its covert Global Elitist buddies are pushing their own agenda and Saddam is the Straw man they have created to knock down; and I am reminded of that most interesting remark in the Book of Revelation:

"Whoever leads into captivity will himself go into captivity; if anyone slays with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Herein is the patience and the faith and fidelity of the saints."

There is, of course, a reason behind this drive to bomb Iraq... The Global Elite are themselves being driven like cattle into a corral...

Colin Powell Abandoning the Sinking Ship of State - Secretary of State Colin Powell has been a good soldier in public, even as he has had to fight for every small victory against Administration hawks like Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

One of four soldiers suspected of killing his wife near Fort Bragg this summer had taken the anti-malaria drug Lariam for service in Afghanistan this year. - The drug has been linked with severe mental problems including paranoia, confusion, psychosis and hallucinations and is part of an Army investigation into possible ties between the killings.

Comment: And we should trust the government to give our kids shots?

Ten Palestinians have died in 12 hours at the hands of the Israeli army during a weekend of violence in the West Bank. - "It's a dangerous escalation, and the Israeli Government is completely responsible for this massacre," said Nabil Abu Rdeneh, an adviser to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, after the Hebron shootings. - An Israeli Government spokesman said that operations had been intended to prevent future attacks. "We are seeing non-stop efforts to kill Israelis everywhere," said Raanan Gissin. "The only reason there is not more bloodshed is that we are always pre-empting, day and night." Comment: Yeah, right! Same thing Cheney keeps saying.

One U.S. ally very much in favor of an attack against Iraq is Israel. "I think destroying the present Iraqi regime will change the whole thing -- and maybe give a good lesson to the Iranians, Iraqis and Syrians," says Israeli Defense Minister Benjamin Ben Eliezer. No comment.

The Following excerpts from a much longer essay, show the activity of the Hyperdimensional Control System and how it cleverly maneuvers its playing pieces to create the dynamic necessary for the next move. What the current Regime is doing, is founded upon the Legacy of Bill Clinton. It is part of the "shocking the dog in the cage" technique. Do we think that such a carefully crafted, step by step maneuver, could be conceived in the minds of the Human Global Elite? Perhaps, but not likely. There is someone - or some "Thing" - ultimately at the top of the pyramid of the "Illumnists." Perhaps that is why he/it is represented as an "EYE" on the pyramid on the dollar bill?

Read how the American people have been manipulated culturally and socially to accept everything the current Regime does - to lay down like the dog in the cage and just give up.

Consider, for a start, the recent case of Rigoberta Menchu. Ms. Menchu is the Guatemalan woman who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992 for her autobiographical account of her family’s mistreatment by the Guatemalan army during that nation’s civil war. Political radicals consider Menchu—a Mayan, a peasant, an activist, a woman—to be today’s "preeminent Third World witness." There is only one problem: the central details in her heart-rending autobiography are bald-faced fabrications.

O.K., the Nobel committee and the rest of the world were duped. That happens. But with the real truth now having come to light—and no one disputes that Menchu’s book is full of falsehoods—surely the professors and politicians who previously celebrated her will set the record straight, right? Wrong.

The appalling fact is, activists and garden variety academics are falling all over themselves to excuse and rationalize Menchu’s lies. "Faculty members...say it doesn’t matter if the facts in the book are wrong, because they believe Ms. Menchu’s story speaks to a greater truth about the oppression of poor people in Central America," reports the Chronicle of Higher Education after interviewing many U.S. academics. "Even if she didn’t watch her little brother being murdered, the military did murder people in Guatemala," reasons Wellesley professor Marjorie Agosin. "Indian people speak collectively...she expressed the voice of the collective conscience," explains Communist intellectual Arturo Taracena to the New York Review of Books. To impose Western standards of honesty on indigenous people, you see, is racist imperialism.

Confronted with the evidence of her misstatements, Menchu claimed the right to redefine reality. "My truth is that my brother was burned alive," she told the Washington Post.

Menchu’s unmasking put author Joanne Omang in mind of an earlier betrayal of truth that had troubled her: When I was a Washington Post correspondent in Argentina in the mid-1970s, a London newsletter reported that leftist guerrillas had marched through a certain Buenos Aires suburb while residents tossed flowers from the balconies. I knew this had never happened and canceled my subscription. The editor called to argue. He said it was "political truth": If the guerrillas had marched, the residents, secret supporters all, would certainly have tossed flowers. [...]

The problem is, once that particular gate is open, everyone wants to use it—fudging or completely re-writing truth in order to further their own favorite causes. [...]

"Postmodern" thinkers unabashedly claim the right to concoct their own personal definitions of reality and falsehood, of truth and lie. Sometimes, this is just silly—as when they insist that things like one’s sex or the laws of physics are just "social constructs." Other times, this becomes a dangerous license for disruptive propaganda or sociopathic behavior.

Certainly the intellectuals who laid the groundwork for today’s truth-denying postmodernists were an anti-social lot. Philosophical godfathers Friedrich Nietzsche and Martin Heidegger inspired proponents of both Communism and Fascism (indeed, Heidegger was a Nazi enthusiast). Michel Foucault was a sado-masochist who achieved sexual frisson by inflicting pain and wrote books celebrating mass murder. Jacques Derrida was an intentional obscurer and abuser of language in just the ways George Orwell warned us were dangerous.

Prior to becoming a celebrated Yale professor Paul de Man was a Nazi collaborator in Belgium, and he was a habitual, serial liar and manipulator throughout his life. As David Lehman (who is featured later in this magazine) helped uncover, de Man falsified his resume, skipped out on personal debts, abandoned his sick wife and three young sons, abused the trust of friends, and repeatedly evaded truth and responsibility. Mary McCarthy described him as possessing "an intelligence that’s outdistanced his morals." His eldest son compares him to a confidence man. As one very old text puts it, ye shall know them by their fruits.

Of course, it’s one thing to have a confidence man whose intelligence has outdistanced his morals in the Yale French department, and quite another to have him in a place like the White House.

Bill Clinton is hardly our first President to lie. But he is certainly our first President to lie with so much fervor, frequency, and indecent earnestness. Mr. Clinton doesn’t just dodge and weave in public in the usual political fashion. He is a virtuoso deceiver of everyone around him. He lies about trivial things as well as consequential matters. He piles lies upon lies. What has been variously referred to as his "want of candor," his "economy with the truth," his "situational veracity" will go down in history as his distinguishing characteristic as President. [...]

Any fair-minded person can understand how Mr. Clinton might have made one of his initial mistakes. What’s hard to fathom, and impossible to accept, is the way he subsequently added dishonesty to dishonesty, steadfastly refusing to ever come clean, never waking up in the morning with an irresistible urge to confess, express contrition, and take honorable responsibility. Instead he heaped up more and more deceptions until even the Washington Post spluttered, "it is difficult to find a single honest sentence" in his arguments. [...]

The President’s assistants have been almost as instrumental as their boss in elevating the role of falsehood in the White House. Paul Begala’s first rule of politics, Bob Woodward tells us, is "Define and create the reality that you want." Never worry about facts; project an image to the public. This is pure postmodernism, the very same impulse that moved a literature professor to say that "reality is what is accepted as reality, what is useful," and that postmodern man aims "not to discover reality but to manipulate it." [...]

Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels was a brilliant man with a Ph.D in literature and history, and many of his ideas will sound very familiar to contemporary ears. He counseled propagandists to go beyond crude lying and employ different kinds of truth: half truths, limited truths, truths out of context. The propagandist must reserve the right to define his own terms, he insisted. And "when it would be dangerous to let a fact be known, the modern propagandist prefers to hide it, to say nothing rather than to lie." About one-fifth of all press directives given by Goebbels between 1939 and 1944 were actually just orders to keep silent on one subject or another, Ellul reports. [...]

Goebbels sounds most contemporary when he says (Begala-like) that "We do not talk to say something, but to obtain a certain effect." And the propagandist doesn’t worry about being consistent; claims can even be contradictory for different audiences. [...]

Bill Clinton has startled many of us by practicing the famous dictum of Hitler himself: The bigger the lie, the more chance it will be believed. That was exactly his tactic in turning to the camera, saying "I want you to listen to me," wagging his finger, and then exclaiming indignantly, "I did not have sex with that woman." That statement was delivered with such passionate, shameless intensity that most of us who saw it assumed there must be something wrong with Monica Lewinsky’s story. Even if you didn’t trust or like Clinton, he couldn’t be psycho enough to say that, in that way, if it weren’t true. Could he? [...]

"The propagandist must insist on the purity of his own intentions and, at the same time, hurl accusations at his enemy," says Ellul. This, of course, is where the Clintonites succeeded most brilliantly—in their demonization of first Ken Starr and then the congressional Republicans. [...]

"In today’s intellectual climate, the person who reveals the truth...receives the blame, while the one whose lies are revealed becomes more popular than ever," observes Ed Veith, one of this issue’s contributors. This has recently happened not only to Starr and the G.O.P. but also to the individuals who blew the whistle on Rigoberta Menchu and Mike Davis. And these verdicts were not accidents of public opinion but the product of determined campaigns of vilification. [...]

Shamelessness can provide a great tactical advantage in turning around public disapproval. Time and again Bill Clinton gets away with whoppers that more cautious and truth- ful people would be too terrified even to launch. Literally two days after a credible woman gravely revealed on national television that he had left her in need of an ice pack after a sexual assault, the President was on the airwaves announcing "$223 million in grants to help detect and stop violence against women." Abusers must be held accountable, he had the nerve to tell us.

Similarly, recall Clinton’s immediate response when he and Al Gore got caught in egregious violations of current campaign finance laws: They defiantly argued there was no "controlling legal authority" to stop them, then unblushingly made political hay on the theme of how dreadful campaign finance violations are. Finally, they called sanctimoniously for additional, stricter laws—after having spent the previous two years massively abusing the current ones! Breathtaking. [...]

The President admitted to Monica Lewinsky (as she divulged in her Barbara Walters interview) that he’s been a serial liar since childhood.[...] Michael Kelly suggests the President has an "essential character flaw" that is even deeper than his dishonesty. - Clinton’s mother, Kelly notes, taught him that "people are not to be judged by their actions, but are endlessly free to reinvent themselves, to be whatever the moment demands." He quotes from her autobiography where she explained, "The past is irrelevant.... Whatever’s in someone’s past is past, and I don’t need to know about it.... When bad things do happen, I brainwash myself to put them out of my mind."

There is a certain brassy impressiveness to the way the Clinton White House has wielded the tricks of propaganda to win political battles. But there is also great danger to the nation. The problem with importing propaganda techniques into democratic politics is that they quickly lead to a thoroughly false and undemocratic politics. Ellul concluded from his studies that, once launched, the propaganda process tends to become irreversible, and he warned that no one can give himself over to propagandizing, even in a "good cause," without being damaged in the process. As a British observer cautioned years ago, "the lie on the lips becomes the lie in the soul." [...]

We note in this issue that for four decades now there have been intellectual trends underway which blur truth and encourage lying. We see the results in universities, in politics, in professions like the law, in popular entertainment and the media, even in places like business.

Clinton’s most damaging legacy will be the hard forward shove he has given this trend toward selective truth-telling. He has, as George Will puts it, cultivated American indifference to the facts. You could see this in microcosm in the impeachment votes: As the evidence was laid out, Senator Robert Byrd stated he had "no doubt" the President "lied under oath" and believed he also "did indeed obstruct justice." Senator Charles Schumer said, "It is clear that the President lied." Congressman Robert Wexler observed, "The President lied under oath.... His actions are indefensible." Yet when it came to vote, none of these men stood for punishment. Clinton had successfully cultivated their indifference to the fact of his guilt. [...]

The President has corrupted millions of Americans into putting their logic and their evidence-sorting abilities into the service of ideology rather than truth. He has made it an article of the liberal faith that the desirability of telling the truth now depends upon a host of secondary factors, like whom you are talking to, and whether or not he shares your "causes." [...]

Adlai Stevenson, a paragon of the American liberalism that reigned before postmodernism began its corrosive work, once said that "those who corrupt the public mind are just as evil as those who steal from the public purse." I’m betting that if he were alive today, he’d say they’re worse.

Indochina floods begin to recede, death toll rises - At least 31 people have died so far in the Vietnam Mekong Delta, mostly children who drowned, where homes of 200,000 people became submerged and about 150,000 people had been moved into newly reinforced residential areas.

S. Korea recovering from deadly typhoon - The most powerful typhoon to hit the Korean peninsula in 40 years.

Powerful Hurricane Hernan was gathering force Saturday far off Mexico's Pacific coast but was not expected to threaten land. - winds of 120 mph. Gusts were clocked up to 150 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, and Mexico's National Weather Service.

Nearly 2 inches of rain fell in North Carolina and more than an inch in Georgia, while showers and storms lingered along the Gulf Coast. - Much of the Northeast stayed dry.

A 22-year-old man is accused of gunning down his teenage girlfriend's family at their Alabama farm this week in one of the worst killing sprees in state history.

Formal satanic worship services have been suspended by the Kentucky Department of Corrections at the Green River Correctional Complex while officials work to shape a statewide policy on the practice. - "We honestly didn't know it was on the religious calendar," Carnahan said after the Lexington Herald-Leader questioned the practice. r "We are researching it to see what we are required to allow under the law. But we've found information that indicates that satanic services could be a threat to the institutions, so for now we won't aid or abet satanic worship," she said.

A judge sentenced six men to death by hanging Sunday in Pakistan for their roles in the gang rape of a woman whose brother was accused of having relations with a higher-caste woman, the prosecutor said. - Two other men were convicted of abetting the rape. They were part of a 10-person tribal council that authorized the rape. The other eight members were acquitted.

Some scientists have suggested nuclear bombs to deflect a big comet or asteroid from a collision course with our planet. One researcher has a more novel solution: a giant air bag. - An atomic detonation would do little to stop some types of asteroids - computer simulations indicate that such a blast could split an incoming asteroid or comet into more fragments that remain on a collision course. - The mathematician proposes that a spacecraft could approach the object and inflate a bag several kilometers wide using a chemical reaction to make gas. The probe would then push the bag against the incoming asteroid or comet. The bag would distribute pressure evenly and nudge the object away without fragmenting it, Burchard suggested.

Comment: Why is this subject an item of such intense, repeating interest? Hmmmm??? Does it tie into the Bush Regime agenda?

Until recently, impacts by extraterrestrial bodies were regarded as, perhaps, an interesting but certainly not an important phenomenon in the spectrum of geological process affecting the Earth.  As we have seen, this has only been the case since Lyell, Laplace and Newton put a period to such speculations.  What seems to have happened is that, through repeated cataclysms, man has been brought low, relegated to darkness regarding his history, and at the very point when he began to study and analyze his environment objectively, religion stepped in and put a period to such ideas.  Velikovsky's work was vilified by the scientific community, and shortly after, there came an onslaught of ideas promoting extraterrestrials as the source of civilizational anomalies and then, of course, the famous 10th Planet hypothesis to explain away planetary disruptions that could not be adequately concealed.

The question is, why?  What, in the name of all things reasonable, would prompt anyone to wish to hide these matters?  What kind of sick mind would divert the attention of humanity away from what is evident all over the planet to those with open eyes, and promote so assiduously ideas that mislead, misguide, and generally placate the populace with an assurance that either nothing is going to happen, or if it does, it will be preceded by a long period of approach by a body that is well organized and clearly seen, and that the government can probably "fix it?"

Well, the clue is right there: "placate the populace."  Control.

But, Heavenly days!  What kind of lunatics would want to keep everything under control in that sense if they have some idea that they, themselves, might be destroyed by the very processes they are concealing?

Obviously, they don't think so.  Obviously, they think they have a plan.  And that suggests that, obviously, they know a lot more about what's going on, what the possibilities and probabilities are than the rest of us.  [From Adventures With Cassiopaea, Chapter 30]

Officials Friday confirmed 24 cases of dengue and two of the more dangerous hemorrhagic form of the disease in Mexico state, which borders Mexico City. - Health officials estimate that nearly 3,005 people across Mexico have contracted non-life-threatening dengue since January. Another 424 have been treated for the hemorrhagic form. Outbreaks of the disease have also sparked alerts in Central America - Dengue (pronounced den' gee) is a disease caused by any one of four closely related viruses (DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, or DEN-4). The viruses are transmitted to humans by the bite of an infected mosquito. In the Western Hemisphere, the Aedes aegypti mosquito is the most important transmitter or vector of dengue viruses, although a 2001 outbreak in Hawaii was transmitted by Aedes albopictus. It is estimated that there are over 100 million cases of dengue worldwide each year. - In the America region, all dengue virus serotypes are now present. DEN-3 was reintroduced into Central America in 1994 and is now found in several countries in the region. Since this serotype has been absent from the Americas for almost 20 years, the population has a low level of immunity and the virus is expected to spread rapidly.

A study in mice raises the possibility that carbohydrates in human tissue may be a target of the misguided immune system attack that results in rheumatoid arthritis. - xperts have long known that rheumatoid arthritis results when the body's own disease-fighting cells attack the cartilage and joints. The new work suggests that the specific target of this onslaught is essential carbohydrates in the tissue. - "This study shows that rheumatoid arthritis may result from the body's mishandling of its own carbohydrates that, under normal circumstances, would not be interpreted as a threat," Wang said.

Comment: As has been shown by both the Atkins diet and the Blood type diet, people who have type O blood should eliminate entirely the consumption of starches and sugars (simple carbohydrates). Most people ARE type O (which is curious since it is a recessive trait). The SAD (Standard American Diet) seems fiendishly designed to perpetrate and perpetuate the many ills to which the type O individual falls prey when eating those foods his body was never designed to consume. Vegetarian eating styles are also not health enhancing for the type O individual. One thing is certain: when your health is compromised by your diet, your thinking capacities are diminished. You may seek medical help and succumgb to allopathically induced conditions which further diminish your thinking capacities. If you can't think, you can't act appropriately - you are nothing but a Meat Puppet. And the Control System has you where it wants you.

Oh Goody! Starting next week, psychiatrists will be able to prescribe an eagerly awaited new antidepressant called Lexapro. It's being promoted as more potent and possibly safer than older competitors -- but there's little evidence that it's much better. - Lexapro promises to be a big player in the $12 billion antidepressant market. - 19 million Americans are afflicted at some point in their lives with depression.

Comment: Gee! We can't imagine WHY?! With a gang of psychopaths running the show and hyperdimensional Controllers playing games with our heads, it's a wonder we aren't all in the looney bin! So the deal is this: eat your carbs and get depressed, then take your Prozac or your Lexapro and get a good case of liver toxicity, maybe have a few seizures, and most defintely go back to sleep and stop paying attention to the man behind the curtain!
