The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

New! August 28, 2002 - Stanley Hilton, a San Francisco attorney and former aide to Senator Bob Dole, filed a $7 billion lawsuit in U.S. District Court on June 3rd. The class-action suit names ten defendants, among whom are George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld and Norman Mineta. Hilton's suit charges Bush and his administration with allowing the September 11th attacks to take place so as to reap political benefits from the catastrophe. Hilton alleges that Osama bin Laden is being used as a scapegoat by an administration that ignored pressing warnings of the attack and refused to round up suspected terrorists beforehand. -

Hilton's plaintiffs in this case are the families of 14 victims of 9/11, numbering 400 people nationwide. These are the same families that rallied in Washington recently to advocate for an independent investigation into the attacks. The current 9/11 hearings are being conducted by Congress behind closed doors, a situation these families find unacceptable. -

Mr. Hilton, by filing his lawsuit, has joined the ranks of an ever-increasing body of Americans who subscribe to what they call the LIHOP Theory. LIHOP stands for Let It Happen On Purpose. The LIHOP Theory puts forward the accusation that Bush and his people allowed the September 11th attacks to take place, despite the fact that they had been repeatedly warned of an impending strike. Comment: We are rather certain that Mr. Hilton is barking up the wrong tree here. (See our article on the P3nt4gon Str!ke published yesterday and updated this a.m.)

kay. A reader sent the original GOES satellite picture. Yes, we see the "object." We played with it - and it frankly looks like it MIGHT be a lens reflection anomaly based on the light angles etc. But that is not absolute. It is also not clear enough - nor is the resolution high enough - to make any real determination that it MIGHT be an "object" in space. Speculating on this one without more to work with would be a waste of time. Still waiting for confirmation on the downed UFO.

Regarding the purported downed UFO in Alaska - don't send us anymore message board links - send verifiable data. So far, it is only a rumor. And the same about the GOES satellite picture. If somebody can graphically enhance what is supposed to be seen and send it along, we will appreciate it.

Keep in mind that all kinds of things can "happen" to distract our attention away from the War agenda of the Bush Regime or the massive attention being focused on the obvious flaws in the government's story about the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon? (See our article on the P3nt4gon Str!ke published yesterday and updated this a.m.). At the same time, maybe they are pushing to start a war so they can get away with shooting at invading UFOs. Something is definitely up, and it has been TOO quiet. Have a look at the following and then reader comments below:

THE Bush Administration faced a rebellion last night among its closest Arab and European allies, who warned Washington not to carry out its threat of war against Iraq. In some of the most uncompromising language used by America’s former coalition partners in the Gulf War, Washington was told that it could have to fight alone if it chooses to depose Saddam Hussein by force. “If you strike Iraq, and kill the people of Iraq while Palestinians are being killed by Israel . . . not one Arab leader will be able to control the angry outburst of the masses,” President Mubarak of Egypt said. - The latest crisis was triggered on Monday by Dick Cheney, the US Vice-President, who said that a pre-emptive strike against Iraq was necessary to stop Saddam acquiring nuclear weapons. - Britain, the only country likely to join US forces in a military assault, responded by insisting that a diplomatic solution was still possible. The cautious approach coincided with a poll among Labour voters showing growing opposition to a war against Iraq. - Last night tensions were raised further in the region by reports that American and British warplanes had launched two airstrikes... - In Germany the Chancellor, Gerhard Schröder, said in an interview last night that the Bush Administration’s policy was a mistake. - France too was deeply critical. Dominique de Villepin, the Foreign Minister, said that Washington should not take action against Iraq without UN approval.

Reader Comments:

"War" appears to definitely be on the official agenda. Question is WHAT will they manufacture to sway and manipulate both American and World opinion or to justify going ahead with their plans in spite of the opinions of others?

We have to even consider that if this whole thing is simply the manifestation of a 4th density agenda. We need to be aware that some other megalomaniac and horrifying "terrorist attack" will very likely be manufactured to provide a "legitimate" reason and backing up the declining credibility of the manipulator puppets here.

There are layers and layers of manipulation. Now is not the time to buy into diversion and the dangling carrot of glimpses into how deep the rabbit hole might actually go.

The Government Attempt to Disclose the Alien Presence: A pattern? - In terms of the aliens we find that: q All the rumored visiting groups are part of the cover-up. Despite claims to the contrary, they could land any time they chose on the White House lawn, or make themselves clearly visible in ways that would be clearly convincing. They don’t. That is the first pattern. They are part of the cover-up. - In the United States the government got out of the UFO business in 1969, escaping the 20-year nightmare of embarrassing news conferences. A three-year silence occurs but in late 1972, for some strange and unexplainable reason, they jump back into the UFO fire with both feet. -

The main pattern of cloaked disclosures in the United States began with a contact to two Los Angeles movie producers Robert Emenegger and Allan Sandler in 1972. In that 1972 encounter, a top public relations official from the Department of Defense, William Coleman, suddenly disclosed that not only are UFOs real, but also the government had actually had face-to-face contacts with the visitors. Coleman then offers the two producers the actual film footage of an alien landing and contact for a documentary that he says the Defense department wanted them to make for the public. -

The length of time (30+ years) that this process has been going on strongly suggests a group is behind it, rather than one individual. - Which leads to the question – What led to this dramatic shift in policy? Why did official representatives of the United States government approach producer Robert Emenegger and get the government right back in to something they had spent 20 years trying to get out of? - Why did the U.S. secret holders not remain silent about the UFO phenomena as it appears Canada, Britain, and most other countries have done? Why would they choose to pick up, for a second time, what Henry Kissinger called, "the biggest hot potato" in history? -

The UFO Working Group was a "group of insiders who were looking for the insider group." They were desperately seeking the crashed flying saucers, and MJ-12 group just like the rest of Ufology. They believed, according to some, that there was an unknown mysterious engineering project run by either Admiral Bobby Ray Inman or General John J. Sheehan. A lot of black budget money was known to be flowing in that direction. No one, however, seemed able to get anything concrete on the group. -

Many of the 17 men in the UFO Working Group would go on to become members of another top-secret chat group known as the Aviary. This informal group became famous for their connections to researcher Bill Moore in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They went by bird names that allowed them to talk among each other without everyone knowing who they were. At least that was the plan. SEE also: Star of Sorcerers Updated

Wailing Wall 'collapsing' - is this being brought up now to "up the ante" and put on the heat?

Researcher says Immunizations Single Biggest Cause of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) - contrary to what you may have heard, vaccines do not prevent diseases. The presumed and publicised "eradication" of diseases like smallpox and polio, or Hib meningitis is a myth not supported by even the staunchest pro-vaccinators' research. Smallpox was on the way out, indeed epidemics disappeared decades before the WHO decided to conduct the final "eradication" campaign. - It is also well-documented that the largest epidemics occurred in the most highly vaccinated populations, while whose who were unvaccinated, did not have the same epidemics. - Officially, the immunological research has been demonstrating since the turn of this century that vaccine injections do not immunize: they sensitise, make the recipients more susceptible to diseases which the vaccine is supposed to prevent, but also to a host of unrelated bacterial and viral infections. Vaccinated children suffer a never ending stream of ear infections, autism, serious behavioural and learning disability, leukaemia and cancer - we don't need any more research; everything we ought to know to realise that vaccines do not prevent diseases and that they are indeed causally implicated in causing diseases and very serious reactions, has already been published. See: The Vaccination Files

Why Ashcroft's plan to create internment camps for alleged enemy combatants is wrong. - Attorney General Ashcroft and the White House are considering creating a military detention camps for U.S. citizens. - The internees will be deemed enemy combatants. By whom? By the military alone -- without any right to judicial review in a federal court or otherwise. The government's position is that its own decision as to who is an enemy combatant is binding on federal courts, and that it need not even offer the courts individualized facts to support particular detention decisions. The government made this position crystal clear recently in the Hamdi case. -

We now are faced with a scary prospect -- indefinite detention of multiple citizens because the government decides they are dangerous. The mere suggestion of camps or group detention facilities implies that the Executive is, in fact, considering using its newfound citizen-combatant detention program on a broader scale. - Its position is that the executive -- and the executive alone -- can set up and populate citizen-combatant internment camps, without any involvement by either the legislature or the judiciary. -

Americans don't seem to care, but they should care -- and care deeply. These are potential detentions of American citizens that can go on forever, according to the government, without judicial review, and without any charges being brought or trial conducted. The war on terrorism is a war without boundaries, belligerent nations and time limits. -[...]

During the World War II, the Court upheld the roundup and detention of 120,000 Japanese-Americans in Korematsu v. the United States. Korematsu ranks with Dred Scott, which asserted that slaves were merely property, and Plessy v. Ferguson, which insisted racial segregation, was constitutional, as one of the great, regretted blots on the Court's history. [...]

We have lived to regret the internment of our fellow Japanese-America citizens during the World War II. With its 1971 legislation requiring Congressional approval for future internments, Congress indicated clearly that we have learned from our grave mistakes and should not repeat them. Yet the Bush Administration, including its Attorney General, wants to do just that.

Why aren't Americans yet alarmed? Perhaps because they find it hard to believe that the Attorney General would propose such an idea. But he has. And this is not the only sign that the government has trespassed over important constitutional limits. In addition to eliciting an apparently false confession from a terrorism suspect, as noted above, the government also recently sought to recruit mail carriers and others as citizen spies, irregardless of the rights violations that will inevitably result.

We need to stop and think before we allow the government to go this far, and before we have our own Gulag, right here in the U.S.

Hopes that world leaders would agree to boost renewable energy, such as wind and solar power, were dealt a devastating blow yesterday when European Union negotiators abandoned attempts to press for it. - The development endangers any remaining prospect that the World Summit on Sustainable Development will make progress in protecting the environment and reducing poverty, just two days after it opened. It is also a humiliating personal rebuff for Tony Blair.

Bush seeks Saudi support over Iraq as Arab anger grows - In July, a private briefing to a Pentagon advisory board described the kingdom as an enemy of the US and recommend that Washington deliver an ultimatum to Riyadh to stop backing terrorism or face seizure of its oil fields and Saudi financial investments here. Reports, quickly denied, surfaced that Saudi interests had pulled hundreds of billions of dollars from US financial markets in retaliation. - As Vice-President Dick Cheney presented the case for invading Iraq in the strongest terms yet, a chorus of Arab leaders, led by another traditional US ally, President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, spoke out against an attack, in almost apocalypic terms.

Former Secretary of State James Baker Sunday warned President Bush not to "go it alone" against Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. Writing on the op-ed page of Sunday's New York Times, Baker became the latest member of the first Bush administration to issue cautionary words about a military attack against Iraq. - "The costs in all areas will be much greater, as will the political risks, both domestic and international, if we end up going it alone or with only one or two countries."

For more than a week, the "war party" of Mr Cheney and the Defence Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, had seemed to be in retreat. A succession of Republican grandees had emerged from retirement to warn Mr Bush about the risks of striking Iraq. - Yet the swingeing rhetoric directed by Mr Cheney at the Iraqi leader on Monday was lavish even by the war-mongering standards of contemporary US political discourse. There was "no doubt", he said, that Saddam Hussein was amassing weapons of destruction to use "against our friends, against our allies and against us". He would acquire nuclear weapons "fairly soon", Mr Cheney said, and even if UN arms inspectors went back to Iraq, that would not avert the threat.

U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld Tuesday said the final decision on whether to attack Iraqi will be based on leadership, not consensus, despite growing public anxiety about the prospect of war in Iraq. "It's less important to have unanimity than it is to be making the right decisions and doing the right thing, even though at the outset it may seem lonesome," Rumsfeld told Marines at Camp Pendleton. - He said history has shown that when the United States makes right decisions, "other countries do cooperate and they do participate." Comment: In other words, to hell with what Americans want.

In a further blow to Washington's effort to get global support for a possible war on Iraq, Beijing has indicated it is against the use of force to resolve Baghdad's differences with the West.

Sacks that are about eight feet long and three feet across, with six handles and a zipper across the top. "Human Remains Pouches" is the horrible phrase the Pentagon uses for them, but everyone else knows them by the vernacular: body bags. - Comment: What a crock of spin-doctoring.

New! August 27, 2002 - Tooth Fairies And Suicide Bombers - The suicide bombers are not what they seem to be. - How thoughtful of the suicide bombers to leave photos behind to be conveniently found by the Zionist-owned press. And what a public service the Zionist-owned press is doing the whole world by publishing these photos. [...]

Typically, stories about suicide bombers tell us that the bomber went to a public place such as a bus stop, market, restaurant, pool hall, etc., and blew himself/herself up along with one, two, or many Israelis. Funny, they rarely hit military targets. I wonder why? [...]

Severe storms pounded east Texas on Tuesday afternoon, downing trees and power lines, while an overnight deluge buried one Wyoming town in 3 feet of water. Scattered showers and storms also peppered the Southeast.

Flooding after violent overnight rainstorms forced the evacuation of more than 150 people from their homes south of the northern French city of Lille on Tuesday, authorities said.

Thirty-five Afghans killed in flash flood - The Peshawar-based independent Afghan Islamic Press said the Shimal river was flooded by torrential rain over surrounding mountains, which brought down dozens of logs.

Saudis deny lawsuit claims of payoffs to al Qaeda 'Why would we pay money to people whose objective is to kill us?' - A $1 trillion lawsuit filed by families of victims of the September 11 attacks says members of the Saudi royal family paid protection money to Osama bin Laden's group to keep it from carrying out terror attacks in Saudi Arabia. See also: The Propaganda Preparation for 9/11 for insight on these matters.

Although post-September 11 legal challenges are just coming to judgment nearly a year after the terror attacks, the early going has produced more defeats than victories for Bush lawyers. In a handful of cases, judges have cast skeptical eyes on administration arguments that threats to national security justify maximum secrecy or a lessening of previously recognized freedoms. - This week the first major appeals court ruling also went against the government. A panel of three judges at the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati ruled the public and press cannot be barred from immigration hearings for people rounded up after September 11. - Monday's ruling marked the first time appellate judges have found unconstitutional a fundamental element of the administration's legal response. "The executive branch seeks to uproot people's lives, outside the public eye and behind a closed door," the appeals panel wrote.

Many people say they support the government's legal efforts to combat terrorism, according to polls. At the same time, a majority has expressed unease that the efforts could lead to erosion of Americans' individual freedoms.

"Secret arrests are a concept odious to a democratic society," U.S. District Judge Gladys Kessler wrote this month in ordering the government to release names of more than 1,000 people jailed in secret.

Israel set on tragic path, says chief rabbi - Britain's chief rabbi, Jonathan Sacks, today delivers an unprecedentedly strong warning to Israel, arguing that the country is adopting a stance "incompatible" with the deepest ideals of Judaism, and that the current conflict with the Palestinians is "corrupting" Israeli culture. - He also admits that in 1967 he was "convinced that Israel had to give back all the [newly-gained] land for the sake of peace" - and he does not renounce that view now. - The chief rabbi's new book is subtitled "How to avoid the clash of civilisations", and aims to offer the world a roadmap away from disaster. He calls on orthodox faiths in particular to realise that difference is not a problem to be managed, but an "essential" part of creation itself.

The Propaganda Preparation for 9/11 - Detailed analysis! Very important! Even though the author obviously hasn't read Dolan, and dismisses the hyperdimensional aspects of the conspiracy, he certainly outlines the major elements of the human operation.

[...] The events of September 11 were planned by those who not only had the motive, means, and opportunity to carry out the plan, but also were best placed to manage the consequences stemming from it, as well as managing the flow of information. [...] The events of September 11 were masterminded by those who were in the best position to manage the consequences. [...]

Conspiracies, involve rational, albeit cold-blooded, attempts to achieve a desired end by employing the most effective means available. [...] Motive, means, and opportunity. [...]

It appears that the events of September 11 were planned years in advance, with the groundwork being carefully laid by a propaganda campaign orchestrated to convince the public that the United States has a plausibly sophisticated nemesis with the motive, means, and opportunity to perpetrate a devastating act of terror against Americans. [...]

In all cases, the actions of proxy agents and operative planners are sufficiently distanced and compartmentalized from the true masterminds to create a condition of "plausible deniability". In short, the proxies have also been set up as possible patsies with evidence that has been carefully laid to incriminate them should cracks in the "official story" become too discernible. [...]

The real guilt must inevitably lie with those in the best position to manage the flow of information as well as reliably benefit from the new order created, primarily, the political and corporate elites of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union - also, as it happens, the very parties orchestrating the global war on terrorism....

If this notion of reality strikes you as somewhat dissonant, at odds with your own personal experience, it may be perhaps that [...] you have not read the mountain of evidence detailing political and elite deviant behaviour in this country. ...

Regarding the motive, the above author simply says: "Where the rank and file members of the CFR are largely motivated by a self-interested careerism, these higher elites see it as their moral duty to guide the "ship of state", as it were. To them, a unified world government is the most logical way to manage the affairs of the world. After all, these global elites have more in common with one another than they do with the bulk of their respective countrymen."

The above author has obviously not read the mountain of evidence detailing the multi-millenial evidence of this conspiracy including the long history of the UFO phenomenon and its intersection with the military and war. At the ultimate level, humans are NOT the masterminds, we can assure you. And it is absurd to assign the motive to a perception of a "moral duty," or even a "logical approach to managing world affairs." That is nonsense in the face of the FACTS.

No indeed, there is an altogether DIFFERENT AGENDA being manifested here.

On August 24, 2002, the Cassiopaeans commented on the Global Elite behind the 9-11 event and its obvious schedule:

Q: Since we know from Dolan that the real "elite" are not those who form our visible government, do any of those in the White House have awareness of the REAL reason these plans are being driven at this time?
A: The White House knows little of what transpires in any case.
Q: Well, how can it be that there is an obvious global conspiracy, with countries that appear to be in opposition that are actually working in concert? Who are the members of this global conspiracy? Who is driving them?
A: At those levels, there is only one "Master."
Q: How can they control not only America, but China, Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and all the rest? What "levels" do you mean?
A: Levels that can hand down orders to bury or suppress. Those who are at that level have been bought and paid for by both giving knowledge of upcoming cataclysmic events, and promised survival and positions of power after. It is not difficult to realize that there is a body of such types in positions of power already. Power is not only attractive to such types, they are the kind most easily courrpted by it.

Also read again: Something Wicked This Way Comes There IS a schedule that is driving the Global Elite, with their puppet George Bush in the driver's seat. Also, please read the Adventures Series for the details of the tracking of the clues of this coming event that is driving the New World Order to ACT NOW. And then, order your copy of Ancient Science to begin to understand the global, multi-millenial nature of the conspiracy - and what you CAN do to act in favor of a DIFFERENT DESTINY!

A member of our Quantum Future School writes:

For those who seek the option of true Free Will, facing the millions of money and millions of soldiers that make up the one world government that is pulling the strings in our society is a daunting task, impossible to fight on their terms. The only logical solution is to act FOR OUR DESTINY in other terms, where a handful of people might have a chance against the millions. Any other way seems pointless.

I know there is a lot of concern here about the manipulations the government is perpetrating. This is useful information to have, but for me it's main purpose is to fuel the fire that gets my butt in gear to do something about it. The best thing I can do is to get my house in order, undo the knots that bind me and organize my horse and carriage so that the personality is not directing the course.

I believe Mouravieff described the bankruptcy of the personality as the step that took one across the first threshold. This is a step we all need to take because it precedes the second threshold, and I believe we need to be at the second threshold before we have the possibility of being effective in the fight.

Just as the personality must accept in advance the path it must travel, we need to learn in advance the path we must follow together as a school.

A little more than one month after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Osama bin Laden, predicted that "freedom and human rights in America are doomed. The U.S. government will lead the American people — and the West in general — into an unbearable hell and a choking life." During the year following the bin Laden attacks, sweeping new government powers indeed have been authorized that civil libertarians say threaten the freedoms Americans are told this nation's enemies hate. The new security measures sacrifice political freedom in the name of national security while contributing little or nothing to the war on terror. Either way, the terrorists win because the new terrorist is our own government.

Dr Robert Goldstein, 37, was arrested on Friday after police discovered a huge arsenal of weapons and bombs inside his Tampa home. - They also seized a list of 50 Islamic centres, including schools, that Goldstein planned to attack in the days before the anniversary of the 11 September hijackings.

The federal appeals court in Cincinnati declared yesterday that the Bush administration acted unlawfully in holding hundreds of deportation hearings in secret based only on the government's assertion that the people involved may have links to terrorism.

The decision, which was laced with stinging language questioning the administration's commitment to an open democracy, is the first major appellate ruling on the government's legal tactics concerning Sept. 11.

"Democracies die behind closed doors," wrote Judge Damon J. Keith for the unanimous three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals ( news - web sites) for the Sixth Circuit. The Bush administration has sought, the panel said, to place its actions "beyond public scrutiny."

United States President George W Bush is holding consultations with senior Saudi officials, as he tries to ease relations between the two countries strained by the war on terror and differences over Iraq. - On Monday, in the face of criticism of the US plans both at home and abroad, Vice-President Dick Cheney gave one of the clearest signals yet that the Bush administration intends to depose Saddam Hussein. - The White House has repeatedly brushed aside suggestions that Saudi Arabia has been complicit with Islamic militants even though Fifteen of the 11 September hijackers were Saudis and a third of those held at Guantanamo Bay are also from the kingdom.

Guard Battalion called to service - The soldiers will provide indirect fire support, using artillery weapons accurate from a distance of 11,000 to 12,000 meters, King said. Comment from the reader who sent in this link: What is Homeland Security gearing up for, and why does it need artillery weapons accurate from a distance of 11,000 to 12,000 meters?

The Red Scare years, which reached their peak in 1920, were a time of fear and hysteria over radicalism and terrorism that had many similarities with America's current jittery mood in the wake of Sept. 11. The Red Scare roundup, jailing and deportation of American radicals was the nadir of human rights in the ''land of the free'' and the dawning of repressive, Big Brother big government in this country. - Philosopher George Santayana's famous admonition that ''Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it'' is more true now than ever.

White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said Monday that administration lawyers believe President Bush does not need congressional approval to launch an attack against the regime of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. - The lawyers also believe the president has authority to act under the September 14 congressional resolution approving military action against terrorism, Fleischer said.

'Peace' Demonstrators Stone Bush Motorcade - In an altercation virtually ignored by the Washington press corps, an anti-Bush "peace" demonstration in Portland, Ore., last week erupted in an attack on the president's motorcade, with one rock-throwing demonstrator coming close to injuring a group of senior Bush administration officials. The rock thrower managed to strike a car carrying White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer and other top Bush aides as it departed from Bush's hotel Thursday, the Washington Times reported over the weekend.

New! August 26, 2002 - Does History Repeat Itself? - How could Americans now possibly be living under a creeping dictatorship and not know it? And how could we not only not see a police state condition but actually think we're living in complete freedom? Because most of us don't WANT to know what's going on. We've lost the ability to think critically about political, economic, and social dangers confronting us. If we have a job -- as most people did in Nazi Germany -- if the political/ economic system seems stable -- as it does in America -- then that's all we want to know.

It's the oldest trick in the book, dating back to Roman times; creating the enemies you need.

So far, the parallels with what happened in Germany in February 1933 are evident. They become clearer still when we look at the results of the attacks. Just as in Germany in 1933, the text of the new US legislation abrogating constitutionally guaranteed civil rights was ready at the time of the WTC and Pentagon attacks. Unprecedentedly, the Federal laws needed were enacted within less than a month after September 11, without significant opposition or debate. Capitol Hill legislators barely bothered to read the bills they approved.

Despite Bu$h’s attempt to resurrect the rhetoric of World War II in his reference to the “axis of evil,” it is the US government and Bu$h himself who are following in the footsteps of the Nazis. One would have to go back to the diatribes of Adolf Hitler to find comparable bellicosity in the public declarations of a major world power, and comparable cynicism in the lies and provocations employed as justifications for military aggression.

We now know that the military has planned terrorist operations against Americans as a pretext for war. To deny that a 9-11 conspiracy is even possible is, quite simply, to deny history. What if this time, the plans were carried out? Furthermore, given the after effects, what if this is part of a larger plan to dismantle American democracy? One more catastrophic event, and the U.S. could easily become a dictatorship.

READ AT YOUR OWN RISK: Open Letter to America from a Canadian - Your once-great nation has fallen into madness, an affliction of mass denial that brings shivers up the spines of millions outside your borders. Yours is a sick nation. But most of you carry on as though nothing at all is the matter. - Dark, evil operations run rampant in the secret corners of your government institutions. - At the same time, you stand by as the Israelis' secular Zionists--whom you support through the supply of arms and money-slaughter untold numbers of innocents in the West Bank, then blame the Palestinians for bringing the terror upon themselves. - Few among you are the least bit concerned that no real investigation of 911 has taken place, that no serious investigation of the anthrax attacks is moving forward, that no authentic investigation of Enron, or the murder of one of its top executives, is underway. How many of you give the slightest damn about the totalitarian measures your government is taking to keep its secret meetings, grubby files and treasonous activities from your eyes?....

When did you stop caring, America? Was it after your own FBI and intelligence agencies plotted the murder of President John F. Kennedy? Or is this just the raving lunacy of the conspiracy nut? What does your gut tell you, America? Is something a little amiss here?

Today, in futility, your own government goes to court against itself for information you are entitled to by law. But this is hardly deemed vital news in the community. It is a fleeting reference in an electronic sea of meaningless banter. For proof, just look to all the spineless wimps who constitute your mainstream news media.

Today, you excoriate, ridicule and ostracize the brave and true among you. Your best investigative journalists are fired from their jobs and ignored. Congress's few courageous souls are laughed at and dismissed out of hand as crackpots.

When will you wake up?

As I write these words, I can only imagine what additional horrors your shadow government might be planning in what will surely be an attempt to justify militarism and totalitarianism on a universal scale. A nuclear explosion in one of your cities, perhaps? A massive bio-chemical attack?

RADIOACTIVE ARTICLES - So far over the last 18 months we have seen a savage and rapid stripping away of civil liberties that were formerly guaranteed to U.S. citizens by birth, for most of the preceding two centuries. The Patriot Act is without precedent and simply eviscerates the U.S. Constitution. - Many of us still feel unsure about foul play in high places. Maybe things aren't so bad, we say. Sure, we can hardly pay the rent, and we have to work three jobs now to pay for corporate crime and protect our families from terrorism. And so what if we have to give up the right to a trial by a jury of peers, or the right to protect our homes and other personal effects against unlawful police searches. So what if due process has been eliminated from our long list of protections? What's the big deal about sacrificing a few civil liberties for the good of the Homeland? It worked for Hitler.

It should be obvious to everyone by now that, wittingly or not, George W. Bush is in the process of creating a communist-style form of government in the United States. As details emerge regarding his new Department of Homeland Security, we discover that Bush and his band of belligerent brothers have begun the process of turning the federal government into a gargantuan police state not seen since Hitler's Third Reich and Stalin's Soviet Union.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE MEMBERS OF THE U.S. SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE...

The Washington Post has been actively involved in assisting the Bush administration.

Recently (July 26, 2002), a process server, attempting to serve Vice President Dick Cheney with a summons to appear as a defendant in a lawsuit, was threatened with arrest. The litigous conservative group Judicial Watch (JW) initiated the summons. According to JW, a security staffer told the server that the White House would not receive the summons, and if were left it on the grounds they would arrest him. Now, it is a federal crime to interfere with a process server's delivery of a summons. The White House has accepted them in the past. JW served (without incident) President Clinton, Vice President Gore and First Lady Hillary Clinton multiple times with summonses for lawsuits that they filed against them. This is an appalling response by the Bush administration, and certainly would have been well publicized had it been the Clinton White House. Naturally, the Washington Post made no mention of this story.

Plunging plankton levels may be disastrous - A 20-year snapshot of the ocean shows phytoplankton levels drop by 14 per cent in the North Atlantic and 30 per cent in the North Pacific. - At the same time phytoplankton levels in open water areas near the equator have increased significantly - by more than 50 per cent - but since most phytoplankton is concentrated in the north there was an overall decrease globally. - Phytoplankton serve as food to other species so any reduction in their level ultimately affects the numbers of fish in the sea. Phytoplankton also currently account for half the transfer of CO2 from the atmosphere back into the biosphere by photosynthesis - a process in which plants absorb CO2 from the air for growth. Since CO2 acts as a heat-trapping gas in the atmosphere, phytoplanton helps reduce the rate it accumulates and may mitigate global warming.

THE world summit on sustainable development slid into chaos before it began last night as representatives of the 106 world leaders due in Johannesburg started disputing what they are there to achieve.

''Footprints in the dust: signs of connections between CIA and WTC attack'' - Recent discoveries [...] bring that same sure but murky sense of the CIA's presence leading up to the attack. Perhaps another operation gone very sour.

First, there is the former American diplomat's story about the issuing of visas almost without question to many very questionable people.

Then, there is the strong suspicion that the flight school in Florida where one of the terrorists, Mr. Mohamed Atta, trained likely had connections to the CIA. - We also have the recent arrest and expulsion, although this is officially denied in Washington, of a large Israeli spy ring, many of whose members worked out of Florida, the same state as Mr. Atta's flight school.

Spy rings as large as this one simply do not operate in a place like the United States without the CIA being aware of them. Apparently, there is a serious question whether Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, told the U.S. what it knew before September 11. At any rate, we know the aftermath of the attack certainly has tipped the balance to favor Mr. Sharon's bloody-minded way of seeing the world.

All in all, there are some very suggestive footprints in the settled dust of the World Trade Center, and they tend to point towards Langley, Virginia. Americans, for a second time, may have been the unintended victims of their own agency's dirty work.

Another FBI Agent Blows the Whistle - The Weekly has learned that Chicago-based special agent Robert Wright has accused the agency of shutting down his 1998 criminal probe into alleged terrorist-training camps in Chicago and Kansas City. The apparent goal of the training camps, according to confidential documents obtained by the Weekly, was to recruit and train Palestinian-American youths, who would then slip into Israel. Recruits at these camps reportedly received weapons training and instruction in bomb-making techniques in the early 1990s. The bomb-making curriculum included the sort of explosives later used in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. And government documents state that two trainees came from the Oklahoma City area. Comment: The only reason we can think of as to why the FBI would stop an investigation would be because such an investigation might reveal who was REALLY running such a "camp." And we don't for a moment think they were Islamic. Who ELSE would the FBI wish to protect?????

Secret Hearings Conceal 9-11 Terrorist Links to State Department, Congress, White House - U.S. intelligence officials [...] know more about the terror attack than they are admitting. And they want no investigation.

A Portugal-based investigative journalist has presented THE NEWS with version of the September 11th attacks that has to date failed to attract the attention of the international press. The report, compiled by an independent inquiry into the September 11th, World Trade Centre attack, warns the American public that the government’s official version of events does not stand up to scrutiny. - The so-called terrorist attack was in fact a superbly executed military operation carried out against the USA, requiring the utmost professional military skill in command, communications and control. -

A member of the inquiry team, a US Air Force officer who flew over 100 sorties during the Vietnam war, told the press conference: “Those birds (commercial airliners) either had a crack fighter pilot in the left seat, or they were being manoeuvred by remote control.” - During the press conference Captain Hill maintained that the four airliners must have been choreographed by an Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). This system can engage several aircraft simultaneously by knocking out their on-board flight controls. -

Captain Colin McHattie, currently flying with Cathay Pacific, agreed with the independent commission’s findings. However, he explained that while it is possible to fly a plane from the ground, the installation of the necessary equipment is a time-consuming process, and needs extensive planning. -

Dr. Paul Roberts, former Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury, and presently Senior Research Fellow at Stamford University, has lent his support to the independent inquiry findings. He also claims that Osama Bin Laden was not responsible for September 11th. The doctor has challenged President Bush to make public the so-called “irrefutable evidence” incriminating Bin Laden. -

Colonel Donn de Grand said that if President Bush is lying it would not be the first time that the American people had been mislead by its government. He cited the recently published official government archives describing President Roosevelt’s duplicity in deceiving Americans about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, which triggered the US entry into WWll.

These photos are just a few of hundreds that have been available but show clearly and undeniably that America and the world have been manipulated and lied to. We owe it to the victims, their families, the firefighters, the police officers, America and the world, to demand that the real guilty parties, THE REAL TERRORISTS, be brought to justice. The madness must be stopped before we are led into a third world war because of a lie. Is there no one willing to stand up against this horrendous injustice? In America, are we truly the land of the free?.. or the home of the brave? Let’s prove it.

Petition to the Senate to Investigate Oddities Involving 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

Oddities of 9/11 - Many links.

Seismic Event: The Final Moments of Flight 93 - The relatively obscure field which considers the seismology of supersonic aircraft has produced something of a smoking gun in the mystery surrounding Flight 93's final moments. Evidence from the seismic record indicates there was at least one supersonic warplane within striking distance of Flight 93 on the fateful morning of September 11, 2001. A signal exhibiting the seismic signature characteristic of a passing sonic boom was recorded at 9:22 A.M. local time by an earthquake monitoring station in southern Pennsylvania. This station is just 60 miles from the abandoned stripmine in Somerset County where the Boeing 757-200 hit the earth at 10:06. - While we don't know where the jet that created the sonic boom came from, we can safely assume that any aircraft moving supersonically over the continental U.S. by 9:22 on September 11th was part of our own military. And not knowing the fighter's home base does little to change the fact that it would have been in excellent position to intercept Flight 93 well before it crashed at 10:06.

"If you were here to see it, you'd have no doubt," Decker said. "It was a jet plane, and it had to be flying real close when that 757 went down. If I was the FBI, I'd find out who was driving that plane. " Late Thursday afternoon, federal agents who spoke to reporters at the crash site said "there was no evidence as of yet" that a second plane was nearby when Flight 93 plunged into a strip mine. - Looking at all the details so far - nothing really adds up neatly for me, except that Flight 93 had a midair crisis that caused debris to fall before it crashed . I remain skeptical of all the theories... except one. We are not being told what happened - and the Government knows exactly what happened.

And now, for some comic relief: Welcome to Shrubbish.com, for the best in Bushisms. Better to laugh than cry.

Mitochondria can be inherited from both parents - Marianne Schwartz and John Vissing from the University Hospital Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, have discovered that one of their patients inherited the majority of his mitochondria from his father. - Muscle biopsies showed that about 90 per cent of his mitochondria came from his father. However, the mitochondria in his blood, hair roots and fibroblasts came entirely from his mother.

The 1997 Hong Kong flu outbreak, which killed one third of its victims, resulted from a single mutation that allowed the virus to disable part of the body's immune system.

The ozone hole above the Antarctic has begun its annual expansion and will continue to grow significantly over the next four to six weeks, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) announced on Thursday.

George Bush sez: "I just, I cannot speak strongly enough about how we must collectively get after those who kill in the name of some kind of false religion." Asked about the remark, White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said Bush was referring to terrorists who distort Islam to justify violence. - Muslims were angered last year when Bush described his war against terrorism as a "crusade." The Crusades were wars fought in the Middle Ages after Christian armies traveled to Palestine, or what is now Israel, to attack the Muslim armies that then controlled Jerusalem.

When hawks turn tail, it's time to rethink this war - Eagleburger is issuing dire warnings to Bush the younger about any imminent invasion of Iraq. Let's hope the second President Bush breaks away from the pressing issues of his August agenda — chopping cedar, speed golfing and raising campaign money for his political cronies — long enough to listen to reason from his father's inner circle. - The trigger-happy, chest-thumping view of Bush the younger's advisers, including Richard Perle and Condoleezza Rice, [is that] that Saddam is so darn evil America must lead the assault against him and hope other countries follow. - Eagleburger making the rounds of the TV talk shows, arguing that Bush has not made the case that Saddam has weapons of mass destruction and is likely to use them. When you hear him tell Fox News he is "scared to death" that Bush believes he can take out Saddam in a "cakewalk" — Eagleburger thinks it will take hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops and many casualties — then you know it's time for Dubya to stop beating the war drums.

US rift widens over Iraq - Another senior member of the foreign policy establishment in President Bush's Republican party yesterday came out unequivocally against unilateral American action to overthrow Saddam Hussein. - James Baker, secretary of state under the first President Bush from 1989 to 1992, chose the highest-profile platform available, the op-ed page of yesterday's New York Times, to declare that the White House should avoid going it alone on Iraq. "The president should reject the advice of those who counsel doing so," he said.

Americans losing faith in Bush on Iraq - President George Bush found himself dealing with an unaccustomed degree of dissent yesterday with the publication of a poll showing growing opposition to an invasion of Iraq and a near-riot outside the hotel in Oregon where he was speaking. - The poll results, showing a bare majority of Americans in favour of using ground troops to attack Iraq, were published after the Portland police used pepper spray to break up a demonstration outside the site of a Republican party fundraising rally. - The protest, a rarity on this scale in American cities in the past 20 years, was held after Mr Bush announced his new plan to loosen controls on logging in national forests. - Yesterday's events were the most visible sign of angry dissent in the US since the initial post-September 11 activism on some campuses was drowned by the tidal wave of patriotism. Warning: Now that they are losing the "war on the home front, i.e. control of people's minds, we might expect a new and greater "terrorist attack" to swing opinion back their way.

More Photos of the Pentagon Crash Site - Some of these are interesting.

The Myth of An American Free Press - The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. As true today as when it was written. A timely reminder.

Did NORAD Send The "Suicide" Jets? - "Controlling the aircraft from the ground is nothing new. The military has been flying obsolete high performance fighter aircraft as target drones since the 1950s. In fact, NORAD (the North American Air Defense Command) had at its disposal a number of U.S. Air Force General Dynamics F-106 Delta Dart fighter aircraft configured to be remotely flown into combat as early as 1959 under the auspices of a program known as SAGE. These aircraft could be started, taxied, taken off, flown into combat, fight, and return to a landing entirely by remote control, with the only human intervention needed being to fuel and re-arm them."

Those who want to pursue the War on Islam of course want to sustain the lie that Muslim suicide pilots were responsible for 9-11. They want to keep the real trigger men -- the men working under the NORAD cover -- hidden from public view. So public attention must be deflected from NORAD's culpability and focused on the FAA and the failureo of "the system." Top FAA executives and the FAA/NORAD liaison people were of course involved and could give us information. Their failure to speak is either a sign that they have been ordered to shut their mouths for the sake of "national security" or a testament to some other complicity.

NASA Rejects Claims it Plans Mind Reading Capability

New! August 25, 2002 - A call to action, in the face of a rapidly-forming police state in our midst - We work in our isolated groups: a liberal journal writing about the destruction of civil rights through the new "security" legislation , an e-magazine exposing the war on Afghanistan as a new oil imperialism, a former civil rights worker writing an indignant letter about the Bush administration to The Nation, numerous alternative Web sites voicing opposition to the escalating police state attacks on civil liberties. We assume we are doing something to improve the world through our disunited efforts, but the crisis worsens as thousands more workers world-wide are thrown out of work or are forced into jobs incapable of sustaining a bare subsistence, as the very fiber of our society is changed into a police state. As Marilyn Waring has the courage to say in her powerful tape, Sex, Lies and Global Economics, we are literally at war! - We must create an organization to fight for the rights of all Americans, recognizing that we are involved in more than a comfortable college debate--that we are struggling for our very lives. Unfortunately, current organizations, such as the Nader group's Public Citizen, Common Cause, or Campaign for America's Future, don't seem to be capable of being broadened to include the full range of American interests. So a new organization will have to be created by interested persons. - Given the current life-or-death struggle in today's world, intelligent citizens must respond now to the overall crisis, not waiting for additional national and world emergencies and catastrophes to stir them to action.

Eyewitness: The Pentagon - In light traffic the drive up Interstate 395 from Springfield to downtown Washington takes no more than 20 minutes. But that morning, like many others, the traffic slowed to a crawl just in front of the Pentagon. With the Pentagon to the left of my van at about 10 o’clock on the dial of a clock, I glanced at my watch to see if I was going to be late for my appointment. At that moment I heard a very loud, quick whooshing sound that began behind me and stopped suddenly in front of me and to my left. In fractions of a second I heard the impact and an explosion. The next thing I saw was the fireball. I was convinced it was a missile. It came in so fast it sounded nothing like an airplane.

Former Army biomedical researcher Steven Hatfill declared Sunday he had nothing to do with last fall's anthrax attacks and accused the FBI of hounding him and his girlfriend in order to give the appearance that it was making progress in the investigation. - Hatfill's lawyer, Victor Glasberg, said he has filed a complaint against Attorney General John Ashcroft for referring to Hatfill as a "person of interest" in the investigation of anthrax attacks that killed five people. - The 48-year-old doctor said, "My life is being destroyed by arrogant government bureaucrats who are peddling groundless innuendo and half information." - Hatfill also criticized Nicholas Kristof, a New York Times columnist - "Mr. Kristof, why did you not at least check the facts?" Hatfill asked. "Why did you permit yourself to be used as a vehicle to leak?" Hatfill said the newspaper refused to publish his response to the column. The New York Times had no comment. Comment: I hope the readers are paying attention here. You could be next in the sights of John Ashcroft. WE could be next. And we all know that the New York Times is in bed with the Secret State...

The American Red Cross (ARC) is widely considered a great American institution. It is generally thought of as among the world’s premier humanitarian organizations. Clearly, almost everyone thinks of it as a life-saving agency. Most people know this non-governmental organization (NGO) to be heavily dependant upon the blood and currency generously donated by the American people. But, what if all of the above is untrue? What if everything you think you know about the American Red Cross is a ghastly nauseating lie? - Founded in 1881 by American humanitarian Clara Barton [...] Not long after, however, John D. Rockefeller pirated the entire blood banking industry, along with the administrative leadership of the ARC. [...] The takeover of the ARC, and the entire blood industry, was apparently required to fulfill a far more sinister, even occult-linked, political objective—eugenics management for a racially purified planet.

Keeping the FBI Lawful - Abdication of the oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution is not surprising from Senator Trent Lott or House Speaker Dennis Hastert. Nor, by now, is it in the least unexpected from Senator Tom Daschle or House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt. Consider Daschle, chief spokesperson for the Democratic Party. Matthew Rothschild, editor of The Progressive magazine, interviewed Wisconsin senator Russ Feingold in the magazine's May issue. Feingold was the only senator to vote against Ashcroft's USA Patriot Act. As the Ashcroft bill was being pushed through Congress, Daschle instructed his troops to vote for it unanimously without any prior debate or amendments. When Feingold refused, he recalled, "the majority leader came to the floor and spoke very sternly to me, in front of his staff and my staff, saying, 'You can't do this, the whole thing will fall apart.' " Cassiopaeans comment about the backers of the 9-11 events and its objective: The Patriot Act, on August 24, 2002: Those who hand down orders to bury or suppress have been bought and paid for by both giving knowledge of upcoming cataclysmic events, and promised survival and positions of power after.

AUSTRALIA - BLUNDERING INTO WAR - Let’s also shatter the myth that George W. Bush has a moral right to control world affairs. Riding roughshod into nation after nation with both barrels blazing and dragging along ones “friends” for the shootout may provide big bucks for the guys who make the big bangs, but in a nuclear age the horrendous implications of provoking a global conflict are only too real. Truth is, just as the war with Afghanistan was less about catching Osama than controlling the pipeline route from the Central Asian oilfields to profitable markets, so the war with Iraq is more about globalist control of the world’s second richest source of oil, than it is about containing terrorism. Is this a war that Aussie moms and dads really want to pay for and send their sons to die for? From: Globalism: The secret agenda Comment: A few years ago we would have written these guys off as a bit too conspiratorial for our tastes. And even though they don't "grok" the hyperdimensional nature of things, they have some interesting commentary. Take with a grain of salt.

Influenza in Madagascar Update - The total number of reported cases is 22 646 with 671 deaths.

A mysterious illness continues to take its toll on the Fort Hays (Kansas) State University football team. - All 25 players and two coaches showed similar symptoms, including coughing, muscle pain, shaking chills, extremely high fevers and loss of appetite. The initial three admitted to the hospital were listed in fair condition Wednesday morning, according to Cook at HMC, and were being treated for atypical pneumonia. All but one of the four admitted was showing signs of improvement, and one was expected to be released today.

Abu Nidal, the Palestinian terrorist, was murdered on the orders of Saddam Hussein after refusing to train al-Qa'eda fighters based in Iraq, The Telegraph can reveal.

The adult U.S. correctional population reached a record high at the end of 2001, with 3.1 percent of the nation's adult population incarcerated or under community supervision, federal statistics show. - One in every 32 adult residents were on probation or parole or were held in a prison or jail, the report said. Comment:

"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We WANT them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one MAKES them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted--and you create a nation of law-breakers--and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with." -Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

South Africa has warned demonstrators at the Earth Summit, which opens on Monday, to obey the law after a street protest eclipsed the battle behind closed doors for an elusive agreement between rich and poor states. - One demonstration leader, Reverend Desmond Lesejane, told Reuters: "Our voice will be heard and it must be heard. We are discussing many issues on saving the planet. "We believe that world leaders must listen to what people have to say. We have learned to fight for our rights and intend to do so." - Critically, U.S. President George W. Bush will stay away from the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD), which formally starts work on Monday in Johannesburg.

A deported Palestinian professor who had been jailed on secret evidence that prosecutors said linked him to terrorism has arrived in Beirut, Lebanon, supporters said. - Al-Najjar, who has a doctorate in engineering, spent more than 3 1/2 years in jail on secret evidence that prosecutors said linked him to terrorism. He was released in 2000, then arrested again in November and held until he was deported on Thursday. - The deportation order says he overstayed a visa issued 20 years ago. U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service spokesman Rodney Germain said he couldn't immediately discuss the deportation. "I'd like everyone to know that I never hurt a human being or animal in my life," Al-Najjar said in the statement. "What happened to me was unjust and wrong, but I'm not bitter and I forgive." He has repeatedly denied any connection to terrorists. - "I'm relieved that Mazen Al-Najjar is safe and that his unconstitutional detention is over," said Joe Hohenstein, one of his attorneys. "The U.S., the country which more than any other stands for personal freedoms, stripped him of his liberty for no other reason other than that his words and religious beliefs were objectionable to some."

A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit that could have made the World Wide Web a pay-as-you-click toll road. - U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon rejected BT Group's claim that it owns the patent on hyperlinks -- those single-click conveniences that make the Web what it is.

Problem-solvers rewarded in novel search for researchers - Research-dependent companies are offering the rewards, enlisting the world's scientists to supplement their in-house research and development. - Their quarry: solutions to problems that have stumped their best scientific minds and stand in the way of getting new products to market or refining manufacturing processes. - Solvers electronically consent to surrender property rights. And they don't know which company they're solving a problem for, since InnoCentive keeps that confidential.

Microsoft discloses 'critical' security flaws - Microsoft urged users to fix the glitches by downloading software patches from Microsoft's TechNet Web site.

Wrapping up a three-day Western trip dominated by intensive fund raising, President Bush on Saturday urged Congress to pass his homeland security plan when members returns from their August recess. - The White House has asked Congress to approve $379 billion in defense spending in its 2003 budget, and Bush urged lawmakers to approve supplemental appropriations for the military upon their return to Washington. "We're at war," the president told those gathered at New Mexico State University. "We need to send that signal loud and clear to our troops and to the world that we're strongly united in this effort to win the war against terror." - "History has called us to action," he said. "We're going to stay on course, stay steady, until we have achieved the mission, which is to make the world free -- to defend our freedoms." Bush said the nation is engaged in a "different kind of war" than earlier conflicts. "We are no longer able to count the size of the enemy by counting tanks or airplanes or ships," he said. "This is an enemy which hides in caves and then sends youngsters to their suicidal death." But the United States, he pledged, "will be relentless and patient and strong ... and we're going to win the war on terror." Comment: Pass the basin please, I think I'm going to be sick. Anybody who believes that nonsense deserves what's coming if they push that legislation through. Again, write your representatives. The general in charge of the U.S.-led mission in Afghanistan said Sunday he supports an investigation into allegations that hundreds of Taliban prisoners suffocated and were dumped into mass graves after surrendering to U.S.-backed forces last year. - The U.S. group Physicians for Human Rights said it had found a mass grave in Dasht-e Leili, where witnesses said the bodies of Taliban prisoners were buried.
