NewsReal: Trump, Musk and Free Speech: Who Decides?

trump musk twitter newsreal
© Sott.net
Elon Musk has reinstated Trump's Twitter account, and Trump has declared his candidacy for the 2024 US presidential election. With the US mid-term votes not yet fully 'counted', and the Brazilian government cracking down on mass demonstrations against their 'free and fair' presidential election, what way forward for 'free speech' and democrats (actual ones - not to be confused with Democrats)?

Elsewhere in this week's NewsReal run-down of events in Clown World, Joe and Niall take in more strange 'jungle' analogies from European leaders lecturing Asian and African audiences, violent riots in Iran where 'mystery snipers' are targeting both protesters and security forces, and the Turkish government blaming the US government for last week's terror attack in Istanbul. An outrageous claim, surely?...

MindMatters: Esoteric Christianity: A Glimpse into Theosophia

theosophia
One of western Christianity's best-kept secrets is its esoteric, mystical tradition. Starting with Jacob Boehme in the early 1600s, the theosophic branch is one of the most fascinating yet least well-known among the world's mystical traditions. Today on MindMatters we take inspiration from Arthur Versluis's two books, Theosophia and Wisdom's Children to make a first foray into the rich language and practice of the Christian theosophers.

NewsReal: What's the REAL Reason For West-Russia War Over Ukraine?

newsreal twitter musk
© Sott.net
They say it's for protecting Ukraine from Russian invasion, and that even if Putin 'gets what he wants' from there, 'standing up for Ukraine' is 'just the right thing to do'.

Obviously, this reason is not credible, coming as it does from people who destroyed Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. There are always REAL reasons - usually Big Money ones - behind the propaganda narratives.

So, in Ukraine's case, what is it that impels NATO countries to send their entire military arsenals to Ukraine, plunge their economies into economic despair and energy blackouts, and risk permanently upending global stability? In the first hour of this NewsReal, Joe and Niall come up with a 'big picture answer'.

The second hour covers the upcoming US Mid-Term Elections (will Trump-backed candidates win 'bigly', or will the Democratic Party pull off another 'miraculous' victory?), and the bizarre incident involving the Speaker of the House's elderly husband, a hammer, and a strange friend - who the media suggests was a pro-Trump right-winger who entered the Pelosis' home with assassination on his mind.

Right...

MindMatters: Truth-Killing Cancel Culture Has Always Existed to Bolster the Status Quo

cancel culture
The cancel culture phenomenon has reared its rancorous and destructive head to such a degree that many holding non-mainstream points of view are made to think twice about sharing them in public. For cancel culture doesn't merely seek to respond to the differing perspectives with counterarguments in honest debate. It seeks to stifle the message completely and even, in the worst cases, annihilate the speaker himself.

While we're aware of how this pathological and ideological weaponization of rhetoric exists in contemporary times, the tools or modus operandi of cancel culture have actually been around for a good long time - especially when someone's particular message challenges conventional wisdom - or, in more meaningful cases, questions the higher truths of the reality in which we're immersed.

Join us this week on MindMatters as we discuss the drives some people have to become cancel culturists, what forces may be behind it, and the rhetorical patterns that always seem to be on the misguided side of an argument.

NewsReal: Dirty Nuke False-Flag? US Military on Stand-by to Fight Russian Troops in Event of 'Atrocity'

dirty nuke ukraine newsreal
© Sott.net
Russia's Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told his French counterpart in a telephone call today, Sunday 23 October, that Moscow was concerned Ukraine could use a "dirty bomb," the Russian defense ministry reported, which would lead to "further, uncontrolled escalation" in the war.

In fact, Shoigu has since gone on to call up a half-dozen world leaders with the same warning.

Coupled with increased US military presence on Ukraine's Romanian and Polish borders, and the targeting of a major dam with American HIMARS that could flood a swathe of southern Ukraine and kill thousands of civiliams, is an atrocity looming?

NewsReal: Nuclear Armageddon?! Nah, But Likely Expansion of War Beyond Ukraine

belarus s-400 newsreal
There are increasing signs that the war in Ukraine may expand beyond that country (and newly-acquired Russian territory): the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines, the terror-bombing of the Kerch-Crimea bridge, the retaliatory Russian airstrikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure, the ongoing delivery of NATO weapons to Ukraine, the fearmongering over nuclear Armageddon, and now the build-up of Russian forces in Belarus.

With the caveat of course, thanks to US government wordplay in late 2021, that the definition of 'imminent' is more fluid these days, fighting between NATO and Russian forces could soon be taking place in Belarus (and/or possibly from Belarus into 'NATO proper'!).

This week on NewsReal, Joe and Niall lay out an alternative direction to US-Russia escalation that doesn't involve mushroom clouds, but which nonetheless risks bringing on more global socio-economic upheaval...

*** CORRECTION ***

At 12:30 we discuss the "regional grouping" of Belarusian and Russian forces inside Belarus this week, citing an RT report we erroneously read as saying "one hundred thousand" Russian troops had linked up with 70,000 Belarusian troops. In fact, the report quoted Belarus president Lukashenko as saying that "more than one thousand [1,000] Russian soldiers" would participate.

Since then, Western media, again citing the Belarus government, reports that the Russian military contingent in Belarus will be 9,000-strong.

MindMatters: Trans-ing Reality: From Transhuman Flesh to Transcendent Spirit

trans
Materiality. Spirituality. Pathology. Normal healthy behavior. All came to the fore recently in the story about the Canadian trans teacher who came to his class wearing gigantic prosthetic breasts complete with shirt-popping plastic nipples. What does this behavior say about him that he would chose to express himself in such a way? And what does his inner makeup have in common with the other 'trans' currently making societal waves these days - transhumanism?

Join us this week as we take a look at the trans trends that seem so at odds with higher values, the inclinations of which seem to serve our very worst potentialities as individuals. And moving on from the transhuman delusion, we contrast the flesh to the spirit, with one of Luc's latest writings as inspiration.

NewsReal: NordStream Sabotage And The End of The (Western) World

newsreal nordstream

What a week - A nationalist wins election in Italy, 'someone' blows up NordStream, Russia formally annexes 4 regions of Ukraine, and Putin delivers a speech for the ages!

This week on NewsReal, Joe and Niall discuss the brazen ecological/economic terrorism of blowing up Europe's primary energy source amidst an ecological/economic crisis, the Russian 'loss' in Ukraine of welcoming four new regions into Russia (we know, that's illogical, but such is Western groupthink these days!), and the global rallying call from Putin in his historic speech denouncing Anglo-American imperialism and its crimes against humanity.

NewsReal: Putin's New Move in Ukraine: Russian Referenda

russia referendum ukraine
"Sham democracy!" screamed Western media in unison, following Putin's historic announcement on 21 September 2022 that referenda would be held shortly in the breakaway Donbass republics of Lugansk and Donetsk, along with two more neighboring regions of southeastern Ukraine.

In this NewsReal, Joe and Niall discuss the Russian 'escalation' in southeastern Ukraine; the historic Italian election; the endless 'headlies' about Putin, nukes and Russia; Western leaders' god-awful 'leadership'; and Lavrov's dynamite speech at the 77th UN General Assembly.

NewsReal: Hidden Hand? Central Asian Border Skirmishes Flare During SCO Summit

newsreal SCO samarkand rand
© Sott.net
State media adverts currently running in the US and UK are raising awareness about myocarditis in children. What on Earth could this mean?

THE Queen is still dead. Have YOU paid your respects yet?

Notice #MAGACommunism trending on Twitter this week? Trump certainly did! But it's just LARPing, surely?

Meanwhile in the United States of Europe, Ursula Von Der Leyen has all but crowned herself Queen Europa, decreeing phenomenal new centralized powers for Eurocrats to put 500 million people who never voted for them on an 'eat-or-heat' diet.

But the main topic Joe and Niall address in this week's NewsReal [commencing at 1:09:00] is the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and 'coincidental' border skirmishes in Central Asia. Right on the eve of this major pan-Asian event - representing half the world's population - in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, border clashes flared up between Azerbaijan and Armenia, followed almost immediately by clashes between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

And this while the leaders of all four countries were present as full or partial SCO members in Uzbekistan. Is a hidden hand poking around in Central Asia?
