Volcanoes
The Fuego volcano is an active volcano in Guatemala, Central America. The volcano is located on the Ring of Fire, a 40,000km horseshoe in the Pacific Ocean known for high volcanic and seismic activity. According to recent reports, volcanologists have observed an increase in activity at the Fuego volcano in recent days.
Volcan de Fuego, Spanish for "Volcano of Fire", is located in Guatemala on the Central America Volcanic Arc.
Fuego is a stratovolcano or composite volcano, and it has a conical shape.
Teguh Yudi Pristiyanto, Head of the ESDM Service for Central Java Province, South Kendeng, said that this phenomenon is referred to as a mud volcano.
"Mud Volcanoes is a phenomenon of liquid extrusion such as hydrocarbons and gases such as methane," Teguh Yudi said when contacted by detik.com , Thursday (27/08/2020).
Teguh said that currently the eruption at Oro-oro Kesongo had stopped. He said the point of eruption that occurred in 2013 was the same as that which occurred today. Previously it was reported that the first eruption of mud and gas was heard this morning at 05.30 WIB.
The head of the village of Gabusan, Parsidi, said there was a boom that made your ears ring when the incident occurred. As a result of the mud and gas bursts, four cattle herders around the site were poisoned.
State seismologists observed a weak steaming activity that reached five meters high from the vents on the main crater between 8 a.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. yesterday.
The volcano remains under Alert Level 1, which means it is still in abnormal condition, the agency said.
On Aug. 18, a 20-meter- high steam emission was observed from the vents of the main crater.

Mount Sinabung volcano spews volcanic material as seen from Tiga Pancur village in Karo, North Sumatra province in Indonesia on Sunday.
Authorities are closely monitoring Mount Sinabung on Sumatra, one of Indonesia's main islands, after sensors picked up increasing activity in past weeks.
The volcano in North Sumatra province was shooting smoke and ash more than 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) into the air on Sunday morning, and hot ash clouds traveled 1 kilometer (0.6 mile) southeast, Indonesias Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation Center said.
Villagers were advised to stay 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) from the craters mouth and should be aware of the peril of lava, the agency said. Air travel was not impacted by the ash so far, the Transport Ministry said.

The eruption occurred at 0727 local time (1227 GMT). The massive plume of gas and ash then dispersed towards the southeast, according to reports.
Mexico's National Center for Disaster Prevention has warned people to stay away from Popocatepetl, reporting that in the previous 24 hours it had observed more than 36 discharges from the volcano.
Popocatepetl is 5,426 meters (17,802 feet) tall and is the second-highest mountain in Mexico and the fifth-highest in North America.

Thick smoke billows up from Mount Sinabung in Karo, North Sumatra. The volcano erupted on Thursday with a column of ash going up 2,000 meters into the sky.
The first eruption was recorded at 6:07 a.m. and continued for around 11 minutes, with a 1,000-m-high column of ash moving toward the east, the southeast and the south, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) reported.
The second eruption lasted for around 20 minutes starting at 1:08 p.m. as the volcano spewed a 2,000-m-high column of ash, which blew toward the east and the southeast, the Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation Center (PVMBG) said.
There were no fatalities or injuries from the morning eruption, Indonesia's Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation Center said.
Villagers are advised to stay 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) from the crater's mouth and should be aware of the peril of lava, the agency said.
Some 30,000 people have been forced to leave homes around the mountain in the past few years.
A thick layer of ash covered several villages up to 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) from the crater, said Armen Putra, an official at the Mount Sinabung observation post.
