Yup...today the AZ county I live in enacted a county-wide mandatory mask for going into ANY store...getting so very weary of the nonsensical, knee-jerk, fascist crap....

Bezel Bub Growing up I had * a friend, C, I first met when I was ~8. His family would always try to raise a pet raccoon, and the second those things hit puberty, they'd just get vicious, and they'd drive out to the woods, let the critter go, and try again. As I recall, after two or three, they gave up on the concept.

parzival kdl !! romantically divine WOW pzv!! just stunning the other clip although a great piece of mastery , is a superfluous statement which holds little help value in a society that is hellbent determined to maintain self-am-pute-tation and freewilling self-distortion of its own personal body's capabilities and abilities to naturally maintain health and beauty and balance. Racisism and all other jazzzz is only a reminder for each and everyone of us to enter into a rapport of honour, conciliation, and personal non-segregation with OUR SELF, rather than preferring to live totally out of whack with nature's harmony circulating within us individually, at all times, in the here and in the NOW.

LindaMay Something is repeating because after 8 years of living on a bit of blissful plot of land, filled with trees & two creeks running through it, the owner has decided to sell, which leaves me 30-60 days to try to find a new place to call home.
Not letting it be an attachment, or a source of illusion (wanting to be able to stay here in the quiet of nature, birds chirping, squirrel's playing, the occasional visit from wild turkey's 1 1/2 M tall, great blue heron's visiting the banks of the creek...) I turn to the unknown now and have to find a dwelling place to make my own. Could never afford land or a house of my own, only because I made decisions to travel the world and not get stuck in the life & debt cycle of wage slavery. Heck, I don't even own a car, I ride bicycle everywhere!

Rowan Cocoan Memories if point break. And a granny moment: the week before shutdown I took four grandkids to a Burleigh Heads Gold Coast. The eleven year old went straight out where the men were body surfing (I did not know he had learnt to surf. The five year old wanted to follow him (he believes he can do anything his older brother can do). I am standing in the shallows, the drag out is pretty strong, thinking I Am going to get very wet here. One granny can not supervise 4 kids swimming. Fortunately the little fella gave in before he drowned. The oldest taught his 9 year old sister and she caught a couple.
In Oz you just have to learn to swim. People are not so lucky as you in other countries. I have met many Americans who fear the water.

All I see is a battle of ferocious rampaging elephants in the room, so scared to reveal the truth, and lie they have propagated
The only truth teller is the innocent mouse, hand held up to give the warning sign. it's a miracle, given these times, he hasn't been tread underfoot. But this is a cartoon after all, and he could be censored as I type this post.
How dare the simple mouse, hold it's hands up, giving the warning sign, to those with the greater good of exceptional knowledge, that crushes those that are ignorant, and have been lied to. What a conundrum, truth or lies, there are many deceptions along the path to truth.
Ah! but the little mouse is flexible, he goes about listening to all sides, and senses danger, so he will not be crushed by the elephant underfoot, with it's great power, they see no danger from a little mouse.
And it begs the question, who is the little mouse? well to my mind it's the world of humankind, that rare breed, that has survived for millennia and will continue to survive.

Just a word on behalf of the elephants: they appear to show empathy for their dying or dead. I do not think it a fair depiction. Haven’t felt much love from any government, just lies.
Joyly As I recall, it's a 'show biz' / media trope from the 20th century? I imagine the story behind it has nada to do with elephants. Ok, I'll spend on minute.

Rowan Cocoan My education of worldly things is sadly lacking. So it’s a bit like the US calling Russia aggressive when there is no basis. Me thinks then the story of the elephant’s fear of the mouse is Pentagon propaganda to demonise the mouse.
Joyly I bet if I dedicated 30 minutes to it I could come up with a best guess, as I do not buy what I found. However, as is typical, the first ten answers were all spouting that type tripe trope* (say that thrice fast ) and I'd given self one minute, max.
I did not expect to find original thought in those initial finds, and I (unsurprisingly ) wasn't surprised.

I also think that there is more noise with this covid-19. Sometimes looking at the mortality of people from other diseases, I see that it is higher. By the way, I really liked this image. During self-isolation, I learned the drawing technique in a pdf photo editor and I will try to repeat this masterpiece, although I will change it a little. By the way, I want to note that working with pdf is much more convenient. Therefore, I often convert from png to pdf [Link] for further processing
