Tina Peters wasn’t “tampering with election equipment.” She was an elected County Clerk who allowed forensic images to be made of the voting machines so there could be a verifiable record. She lied to Jenna “Password” Griswold and that’s what she was convicted for.
The four felonies Tina Peters was convicted of are:
• Three counts of attempting to influence a public servant (Class 4 felonies under Colorado law). 
• One count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation (a felony).
Note: she did not convicted [sic] of tampering with election results.
For that basic act of due diligence and transparency,
Democrats threw an elderly cancer survivor in prison for 9 years while violent repeat offenders and illegal aliens get endless second chances.
You people scream “democracy is under threat” but lose your minds the second someone asks for proof the system is clean.
Judge cited her belief that system is rigged was why he sentenced her to 9 years. That’s protected speech for her.
This wasn’t about election security. It was about sending a message: question us and we will destroy you.
The real threat to democracy is the two-tiered justice system you cheer.
